Changing perspectives 03 November 2024 – by Mirasol
‘The present issues from the past, and the future from the present. Everything is made one by this continuity. Time is like a circle, where all the points are so linked that one can not say where it begins or ends, for all points precede and follow one another for ever…’ – Hermes Trismegistus, Corpus Hermeticum. As the New Moon enters Aquarius a new season begins. It is not business as usual, especially, as the moon squares Uranus in Taurus. This is significant because Uranus, always associated with electric and sudden unapologetic and uncompromising disruptions, is Aquarius own ruler. A square is not an opposition, but rather conflicting dynamics, a challenge or just competing priorities, depending on the specific planets involved. Uranus is in the house of Venus and the new moon is pulling the energy of the house of Uranus. They are both in fixed houses as well. So the positions will be entrenched. Uranus in Taurus therefore talks about how old values and self- worth will compete with the vision of a new future as it is being activated by the New Moon in Aquarius.
The Animals card with the guidance of St. Francis of Assisi is pointing to a new future based on a community of charity, and of like-minded people who are socially conscious and with a common purpose. Our own growth will come from friends and associates. The fixed position is challenged by instability and constant change. We are now interested in groups and organizations that look beyond the self to realize something greater that was previously possible.
Moreover, Aquarius cold and distant qualities will give us a bit of a break from the earthly intensity of the previous weeks and months. The air element that is the character of Aquarius, will bring a cerebral influence in our decision-making process. We will be serious about ideas. Futuristic plans will now dominate our way of thinking, propelling us to a new phase. New priorities will also signify a new set of activities. St. Francis left his own family background to set up a new community based on a progressive set of dynamics, and as such he is the powerful influence of a New Moon that will impact our lives for the next month and beyond.

The Star arrives this week as we enter into the new moon in Aquarius. A woman and a man, depicted on the card as white star-beings are connected to each other by their index fingers, this creating a sparkle and the explosive birth of star energy. The white square underneath the star couple is the material image of a clean slate. It exemplifies that which is created at this very moment, everything is clean and void of clutter and obstacles, and reminds us that everything is possible when starting anew.
Are you seeking your community? The Star reminds us of miracles, of the union of souls and of our inner dreams and wishes becoming true. The slate is swept clean and the potential for immense soul growth is here, realised though other people. We are called to expand and widen our sphere, and to spread our sacred knowledge with others. As explained by Flavia here, the Aquarian energy will bring us together by seeking and joining communities, we crave exchange and support on our journey. Remember who you truly are, and you will connect to those who walk along you on the path, not in front or behind, but by your side, as a true soul friend. The Star energy confirms that changing the vibration of your immediate environment is the beginning of your own Age of Aquarius.
Meditation with The Star
Try this meditation with The Star.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Look at the image of the female and male star-beings and how they connect to each other by their index fingers, forming a newly born star. Observe how the star-beings float in space, they are not connected to earth, instead they exist in infinity as shapes of pure energy. Call them into your personal auric sphere and listen to their guidance. Be comforted by the purple and white and let the coloured rays relax, purify and protect you.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
Have you found your star family?
Is there a kindred spirit your can confide in?
Additional practice – meeting your star family with Aura Amethyst.
Aura Amethyst is a mesmerising crystal displaying an iridescent lavender colour, the result of heat-infused rare metals to the crystals’ surface. Aura Amethyst generates a full spectrum of rainbow colours which shimmer and radiate magical and mysterious energy. It connects us to the higher spiritual realms, and promotes clairvoyance and true knowing. Aura Amethyst enhances any creative activity and it connects the creative mind with the higher-self. It heals wounds in the higher auric layers, cleanses blocks and protects us with a high vibrational field of peace. Aura Amethyst will cherish your whole being with a gentle and profound energy. It is relaxing and provides the space and time to think as it calms the mind and encourages sacred change through contemplation.
For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the Aura Amethyst on your crown chakra. Take a deep breath and relax. Feel how the iridescent violet colour is cleansing your crown chakra. Then sense how the purifying energy of Aura Amethyst is travelling down to your third eye, your throat chakra, your heart, the solar plexus, sacral, root and knee chakras, down to your feet, toes and connecting to the earth. Sense how the gorgeous vibration of Aura Amethyst is awakening your crown chakra and spreading cherished vibes into and around your whole body. Stay in the sacred energy of the Aura Amethyst and feel how your soul is connecting to your whole being, and beyond. Note any messages you receive at this point.
Take a deep breath and say thank you to Aura Amethyst and its’ healing gift. You can repeat this practice anytime you wish to connect to your star family, both in the physical and spiritual realms.

Mercury is making his presence felt. He is the God of rational thinking and the supreme leader of communication. Without him nothing moves, nothing gets exchanged. The card naturally appeared out of Kyle Gray’s oracle deck as his own first act and PR manager – all in one. And with good reason too. Around the 10th of January we are having a full moon and a lunar eclipse in Cancer, 20 degrees. By far the most significant astrological event in 2020. Not least because it is followed by one of the most discussed and anticipated celestial occurrences that has astrologers talking about for decades. It’s the conjunction of Saturn to Pluto, and Sun conjoining Saturn and Pluto, all taking place in Capricorn. So these power players in heavy, ambitious, depressed, earthly Capricorn are undoubtedly colouring our earthly experiences. Capricorn is associated with old age, big authority figures, heritage, old buildings, massive historic structures, physical or otherwise, and things dying in the material sense, in general.
As if this was not enough, a day earlier, the so called liberating and unpredictable Uranus, goes direct in Taurus. A sign concerned with values, worth and materiality in all its’ shapes and forms. A day later Venus moves into Pisces rearranging and dissolving our experiences of love and self-worth just as we thought we knew what was going on.
But in the whole, what will in fact influence us in our particular everyday life is mostly the fact that mischievous, talkative, expressive Mercury jumps in there to reorganise and bring meaning to the others. Mercury is young, fit and beautiful. He moves fast. Remember he has the freedom to go down to Hades and up to the heavens to deliver messages. So the way we think around events on the outside, the way we perceive information and the way we analyse our environment is crucial. It will make all the difference. It’s time for serious thinking and, unfortunately, Mercury will not only communicate sobering decision making, but will also bring us depressive thoughts and anxiety.
While at the moment action God Mars is in Sagittarius – and both Mars and Sagittarius are quite militaristic – our reactions tend towards the scattered and impulsive. Instead, use Mercury’s rationality to stay mindful and progressive. Talk to others. This is not the time to keep things bottled up. With conscious discerning thinking and Mercury’s help, we can move beyond difficult situations, painful endings, lose, unpredictable events and fear dominated reactions. Mercury doesn’t judge and doesn’t waste time with self-pity or incrimination, he flies free opening up channels, bringing healing by transporting goods and ideas, and communicating messages so we can live with more knowledge and wisdom. Trust the universe and trust your Mercurial powers to make the right choices everyday.

In this first week of 2020 we meet The Hermit from the Modern Witch Tarot. Inspired by Pamela Colman Smith’s stylish artwork from the Rider-Waite Tarot, the witches’ female hermit is depicted gracefully standing with her left hand raised and her right hand either opening or closing her laptop. The hooded robe is a sign of choosing to be alone and to withdraw temporarily from the outer world, to later re-emerge with insights not only for ourselves but also for our community. Around her neck hangs a glowing star which offers guidance.
The Hermit’s gift is that of wisdom through contemplation. When we are alone we receive wisdom from ourselves and also through our connection to the universe. In solitude and silence we hear and understand better through embodied listening. The shining star allows for empowerment in your inner sanctum. You are free to roam with your own thoughts, nobody is present to interfere with your mystic processes, the messages you receive and send could be transcending unknown and/or parallel worlds.
The Hermit encourages you to be still, to explore your inner mind by staying away from temptations and overspending, both materially and energetically. Listen to your spiritual heart and be open to the transformation which occurs in voluntary solitude. The glowing star is a guiding light for the unconscious mind and it is a pathway to a breakthrough.
The full moon eclipse in Cancer on 10 January will enable us to tap into our emotional sources and make us realise how we react to the triggers that upset us. Utilise the energy of the eclipse to temporarily becoming The Hermit. Instead of reacting to the challenges of the external environment focus on conserving your energy. This will help you to connect to the outer world in welcoming the new era with a compassionate mind.
Meditation with The Hermit
Try this meditation with The Hermit.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Look at the image of the female Hermit and how she is either closing and opening her laptop, choosing which information she is receiving and/or sending out. She is silently contemplating on making a decision for her own best benefit. The hooded robe is a sign that she is conserving her energy and taking a step back to connect to the embodied message she is receiving in silent retreat. Observe the shining star hanging at solar plexus level, it is a reminder to trust in your own strength.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
What did The Hermit show you?
How can you expand your imagination?
Additional practice – tapping into your unlimited imagination with Charoite
Charoite is an enchanting crystal ranging in colour from bright violet and lavender to deep purple, with a pearly lustre and marbling patterns from inclusions of quartz or manganese. Discovered in the 1940s, it was only revealed to the rest of the world in 1978. The name Charoite is derived from the Chara River in eastern Siberia, Russia and the only place where it is found. In Russian, the word chary means magic or charms. Charoite is monoclinic in structure and it is a complex silicate, containing sodium, potassium, calcium and barium amongst others.
Charoite is a dream stone and illuminator of our soul and it provides access to lessons learned in past lives and heals emotional fears of living in the present, and makes us receive spiritual guidance to accept the future. It connects the crown and heart chakra and unites spiritual energy with physical unconditional love and brings it to Mother Earth. Charoite has the ability to help you to realise your dreams through its’ unwavering unconditional energy of love and acceptance. Charoite gives collective hope since it connects us to the community of peaceful dreamers and enables us to be of service rather than focusing on ego-centred goals. It is a stone for the current age, promoting positive change for Mother Earth. Charoite corresponds to the Violet Ray and can be used in Violet Flame meditations.
For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the Charoite on your Bindu or Moon chakra situated at the back of the head, where the bones of the back and the sides meet, the occiput and the parietal. This is the point of emptiness and the source of creation, and the point where divine information can be dropped. It is the point through which all elements manifest. After placing the Charoite on your Bindu, take a deep breath and relax. Sense how the beautiful purple energy is entering your Bindu chakra and awakening it. Then sense how the Charoite vibration is travelling up to your crown chakra, then down to your third eye, the throat chakra, heart, solar plexus, sacral, root and knee chakras, down to your feet, toes and then connecting to Mother Earth. Feel how the vibration of Charoite is awakening your Bindu and how this deep sensation is connecting all chakras and pathways in your whole body. Stay in the sacred energy of Charoite and feel how your soul is connecting to your whole being and to the cosmos. Note any messages you receive at this point.
Take a deep breath and say thank you to Charoite and its’ healing gift.
You can repeat this practice when you wish to awaken your Bindu chakra and experience the bliss of deep imagination.

The outlook for January 2020 is looking favourable and prosperous. However, the key element is that we have to put in the work. And we have to be practical and scrupulous about it. Here we are working within the rules of tradition and within the pre-established structures. It requires us to apply critical thinking while adhering to a higher realm in morality and aesthetics. With the Six of Wands the year kicks in busy. And there is movement. There will be lots happening and conflicting assignments, commitments, opportunities, people and events will demand our attention. Our input will decide which way things are going to go, as well as our discernment to choose where we are channelling our energy wisely.
With the Six of Wands we are not just cruising in victorious – the card normally shows a nobleman on a horse in front of a background of sticks and crowned with a wreath symbolizing success – but our achievements are aligned per force with higher values. There is nobility of sentiment and there is a fight for noble causes that will gain us success and recognition. In this deck there is so much more to think about. There is partnership, serenity, a sense of fulfilment, and a tribe, a vast group of like-minded people, people with whom we share common ground that depend on us or look up to us for strength. So it is also a card about leadership of purpose. Others will look to us for guidance.
This is a sombre, serious month loaded with responsibility. But the gifts are coming. They are the rewards of our efforts and they will bring strength and further support to grow and develop outside our confines. The rewards will be tangible and they will come from the outside suddenly and unexpectedly. And they will compensate us in the material sense. As the Ace of Pentacles sits right in the centre of the spread we can only assume that this event, or series of practical and auspicious events, will actually dominate the month. It will be generous and absolutely depended on our own work and sense of worth, and it will lead effortlessly to the Emperor. The Emperor could be the person we become or a person who will turn up into our lives to lend us support. The Emperor is the paramount figure of knowing the self and of self confidence. The Emperor and the number IV represent structure as well. So initiation and structure is where this month is taking us. We are in for the long game. The Emperor is standing on a pedestal suggesting we better accept our elevated status and of those we associate with.
By the end of January we will find ourselves in a different place to where we started at the beginning. While looking towards the past, we are bringing it with us into the future. We are not divorced from our heritage or history or anything that has come before, because that is the basis of our strength and our security. This is clearly a process of maturation taking place throughout the month where we are standing alone in change, and responsible. The Emperor is the Masculine principle and symbol of experience.
We are looking to a dynamic and transformative month ahead bringing in experiences of higher rank and higher authority. The theme of the influencer and the presence of rules and regulations runs concurrently. Keep strong and don’t loose the focus. The gains have the potential to surpass any expectations for passion, power and wisdom.

The Angel of Serenity is an Angel of Creation. We are at the moment of a powerful solar eclipse and standing between two eclipses. A solar eclipse in Capricorn and a lunar eclipse in Cancer, happening in January. They are concluding a series of eclipses we have been dealing with the last couple of years. So it’s time to wrap up and bring a culmination to a point. At this stage of structures collapsing and others starting to being built, we have to stay centered amid the chaos, calm and serene. We have the strength within ourselves to resolve problems and find solutions to conflict. Serenity is this angel’s gift as a personal resource to us. The next six months will be eventful and dynamic, so it’s crucial that we start the new moon and enter the new year primarily secure in ourselves, and that we remain calm, peaceful and kind. This is the way to creating something better than what was there before, something better for us and others. With the gift of serenity we have the opportunity to be fruitful in our lives. Our angel guides are protecting and blessing us with serenity.

This week, the last of 2019, we encounter the Archangels Haniel, Metatron and Orion from the Angel Prayers Oracle Cards by Kyle Gray. Haniel, the Grace of God, with turquoise wings and white-blue hair, holds a turquoise lotus, offering it to you as a confirmation of your sensitivity. She reminds you of the need to pay attention to your feelings and to be honest about them. Metatron, the throne next to God, is radiating light from his hands in prayer position. He is bringing a message of clearing, saying that now is a dynamic time to sweep away any stuck energy which may weigh you down. Clutter clearing of material excess is needed, perhaps by gifting, which creates space for the new to arrive. Finally, Orion, the Archangel of Cosmos, a handsome dark blue vision embellished with shining stars, is reminding you of the mastery of manifestation and your own skills to call in and receive that which you desire. He reassures us that miracles happen magically, and when we wish upon a star, it is already reality.
The combined message of the three Archangels is one of honesty, when we tap into our true feelings we know how to proceed and we also enable ourselves to be ready to receive the miracles which we have prayed for. Ceremonial work of acceptance, cleansing and receptivity with symbols, sound and meditation is consolidating the energy of the Archangels and what they wish us to know and act upon.
With the new moon in Capricorn and the Solar Eclipse, we may receive a universal request that we are ready to fully inspect our soul and its’ purpose in this life time. Use this precious cosmic timing to investigate your path and how you can further that which you already know to broaden the full spectrum of your own wisdom.
Meditation with Haniel, Metatron and Orion

Stay connected to their presence and energy, gaze onto their image and receive the message and/or symbol you have waited for.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions:
What can you do to evolve spiritually on your journey on Mother Earth?
Is there a practice you can set up to deepen the connection you have with your soul?
Additional practice – soul journey with black obsidian
Obsidian is a spectacular shining volcanic glass formed when lava cools down rapidly. It has minimal crystal growth and an amorphous structure which makes it the perfect crystal for exploring the soul. Obsidian has an energy of no boundaries and it can access unexplored depths of our inner selves. It also has a deep cleansing and protective quality. In pre-Columbian Central America, obsidian blades were used as surgical instruments due to their extremely sharp edges and the shiny surface of Obsidian provided excellent scrying tools in the shape of circular mirrors. Because of its’ fluid energy, obsidian helps to access spirit guides and provides support to those who undertake shamanic journey work. It can make us encounter our shadow sides in a positive manner and helps us to realise the importance of our soul’s growth.
For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the Obsidian on your Hara point (or Tan Tien), which is located below your navel, above your sacral chakra, this is the gate to your soul and life purpose. Imagine how the earthy and sensual black colour is balancing your Hara point and flowing down to your sacral, root and knee chakras, down to your feet, toes and connecting to Mother Earth. Then sense how the Obsidian energy is travelling upwards through your solar plexus, throat, third eye and crown chakras and beyond to your soul star. Sense how the vibration of Obsidian is connecting all your chakras and energetic pathways in your whole body. Stay in the sacred energy of the Obsidian and feel how your soul is connecting to your whole being, and beyond. Note any messages you receive at this point.
Take a deep breath and say thank you to Obsidian and its’ healing gift.
You can repeat this practice when you wish to cleanse your body, mind and soul and connect to your soul’s mystery and discover it’s purpose.

The Soma Goddess from The Mystic Sisters deck by Emily Balivet comes forward as our guide this week. Beautifully illustrated, the serene Soma Goddess is standing among three impressive red and white striped mushrooms. The ground beneath her and the horizon behind her are patterned with flowers. She rests her head to her left side, as if in a dream state, perhaps in deep meditation and/or in an exhilarating state in the psychedelic landscape.
Soma is a Vedic Sanskrit word meaning distil, extract, or sprinkle, and it is used in the context of rituals. In Vedic times, soma refers to a hallucinogenic or intoxicating liquid, made from a plant or fungus, consumed during ceremony and offered to the Gods. Soma is also used to describe the nectar secreted from the pineal gland during deep states of meditation. In yoga, soma refers to the crown chakra, opened by yogic insight, to release bliss throughout the body.
The message of the Soma Goddess is one of wholeness, integrity and being centred. She wants us to know that we are fully part of this world and all of its’ experiences. Every step on our journey is a path of growth and during this we remain whole, even if we may not feel as such. Wholeness is our birthright and knowing this gives us peace. You are exactly where you are meant to be at this moment.
With the full moon in Gemini arriving on Thursday, 12 December, we are reminded to integrate our two sides, the male and the female, the dark and the light, the receptive and the giving. The Soma Goddess knows how to flow between the wet and the dry, the solar and the lunar, the active and the passive. She utilises the knowledge through her body and soul to achieve wholeness and integration. Be alert and observe how you can utilise your own twin energetic supplies of female and male to navigate through the awakenings the full moon brings.
Meditation with the Soma Goddess
Try this meditation with the Soma Goddess and notice any messages you receive.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Focus on the image of the card. Observe how the Soma Goddess remains tranquil in her standing pose, resting her head to her left. The stunning large mushrooms create a psychedelic effect and transport you into another dimension. The flowery ground and horizon attribute a sensual aura to your journey. Be still and enjoy.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
Are you balanced in your female and male energies?
How can you step through the barriers of either energy consuming your actions?
Additional practice – healing your heart with Mangano Calcite
Mangano Calcite is a calming and gently grounding opaque stone, a calcium carbonate, rich in manganese, which creates its’ beautiful pale pink colour. Mangano Calcite will help you to understand and unfold your heart’s desires. It will heal any on-going negative patterns in your ancestral feminine lineage and releases these by bringing a feeling of safety and grandmotherly comfort. Mangano Calcite connects the higher heart to the heart chakra and increases our awareness of spiritual love and self-love. It helps you to fully accept yourself as you are. Mangano Calcite brings love and compassion into you life and it will strengthen any area of your life where love is lacking.
For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the Mangano Calcite between your higher heart and your heart chakra. Imagine how the pale pink colour is calming your higher heart and your heart chakra, providing nourishment for this area. Sense how the lovely pale pink energy is spreading down your solar plexus, sacral, root and knee chakras, down to your feet and toes, connecting you to Mother Earth. Feel how the Mangano Calcite energy is travelling upwards through your throat, third eye, crown chakra and beyond, to your soul star. Sense how the vibration of Mangano Calcite is creating a loving feeling in your whole body. Stay in the comforting energy of Mangano Calcite and feel how your heart chakras are opening to a greater sense of belonging. Note any messages you receive at this point.
Take a deep breath and say thank you to Mangano Calcite and its’ healing gift.
You can repeat this practice when you wish to ground and heal anything that is on your heart’s mind. It will bring you a feeling of wholeness and peace.

Different deck of cards from November’s reading – same 4 of Pentacles appears. If anything, this feels even more sinister. The last week of November was full of activity and pleasure, almost indulgent, and yet by the end of the month the energies quickly change. December finds us, indeed, fearful and small, clutching our material possessions and holding on to our wealth for dear life. Because of it we are diminished figures. And all things that make life beautiful are missing too. It certainly predicts a time of anxiety where our lower urges of attachment to materiality and earthly goods jump in, robbing us of our potential to participate in something greater, something aligned with our authentic self and a wider good. It is an irony. What we are holding on to is itself depriving and restrictive. Bitter, looking angry, static, immobile and trapped in a small place by our inability to let go objects of wealth, while a wonderful world is all around us, is frontal and direct.
The stability that the number four represents here transmits a sense of being bound with ending, malignant feelings, negativity, corruption, of a sense of lack of proportion to things having outlived their purpose. All around blue skies and beautiful buildings. A small flag flying in the breeze. But we sit in an energy of grey and heaviness, crushed by our own gold. Happily, this is not terminal. It is incumbent upon us all to turn this situation around. We can do this by tapping into the energy of the Fool. The cards presenting both the challenges and the solutions to our situation. Optimism, a dose of naivete, a bit of risk taking, a sense of youthfulness and curiosity, an all encompassing desire for experiences and learning out in the world will be our guide.
By comparison to the 4 of Coins/Pentacles, the Fool is hardly carrying any possessions, but he/she is traveling light with a smile and with a jolly and faithful companion. Mountains in the distant and rivers flowing, the elements of air, water, and earth exude health and freshness. In tune with artistic flavor. Butterflies are all around. Even his/her clothes are full of color and uplifting patterns. There is no holding back in confidence or aesthetics. This attitude is very important because December promises to be the month of the unknown and shifting energies. So how we approach our more intimate and the wider world can change everything. And there is an urgency about it. We might need to lose something in order to gain something more valuable. We might need to completely transform our persona in search of truth.
One way or another this slightly unassuming persona will give us the power to become the King of Swords. A card representing a conscious and upright person. A person of power, strong mentally and physically, ready to defend. Here in this deck, the King of Swords stands amide clouds, dark skies, birds flying, fields and mountains. Clearly a wintry outdoors setting. He’s dressed beautifully in blue, wearing a warrior’s helmet with feathers and in a cape of stars symbolic of his positive and intuitive character. A mature person of higher consciousness, open to communication. Open and decisive at the same time. He feels confident in self knowledge from within.
December foretells entering a much more serious epoch. A season that we are going to be called to duty in some way, and where we need to stand solid. The openness of the fool can transform a miserly to an exulted person of merit. It is a lesson in how our perception, our mental disposition and attitude can, and will make all the difference. December 2019, will conclude a highly transformative year. A brooding year. We will need to have distance to judge situations clearly and objectively, without being aloof or cold. Ultimately, we can enter the new year as more conscious and empowered self, human and caring, but ready for challenges. Now we have to take charge.

This week we will look at the Big Picture card from the Earth Wisdom Oracle by Barbara Moore. A woman is sitting in front of a circular stone shield carved with the triple spiral and the triquetra motifs. She is magically receiving a glowing key from the ground. Belladonna, the highly poisonous and hallucinogenic plant, is growing around her.
The card brings a threefold message, to step back from chaos into calm, to see the bigger picture and to trust that the key will be revealed. What will you let go of? What do you desire? Are you ready to receive? The symbolism of the number three is further present in the triquetra and the triple spiral. The triquetra is a symbol of the unifying spirit of trinity, spirit, nature and the Goddess Brigid. The triple spiral is a symbol of life’s movement in everlasting cycles which creates power through transformation and growth. What three areas of your life can you pay attention to now? Earth, sea, sky. Mind, body, spirit. Past, present, future. Life, death, rebirth. Spiritual, intellectual, emotional. Plant, animal, mineral?
The presence of the Belladonna plant, the beautiful lady, which was used by women in Renaissance Italy to dilate their pupils, indicates that we have to open our sight on all levels, to be able to see the bigger picture. Belladonna’s other name Deadly Nightshade is derived from the plant’s usage as poison, and in this instance its’ message is to cut away that which is not in your future vision anymore. Letting go of the excess and chaos will provide the key to call in that which you desire.
Considering the message of this card within the current cosmic activities, we can understand the bigger picture, as explained by Flavia here. Now we are given the key, and if we let go of all expectations of what success should look like and instead focus on our Goddess-like feminine qualities, we will receive the opportunities we whole-heartedly deserve. In gratitude, sincerity and with love.
Meditation with the Big Picture card
Try this meditation with the Big Picture card and observe any messages you receive.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Focus on the image of the card. Observe how the woman is magically given the key to her dreams from the earth. The carved triple spiral and triquetras are calling in the power of three. The Belladonna growing around the woman is mesmerising and opening your inner sight.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
Are you ready to let go of all expectations to step forward in grace?
What are your three magical qualities?
Additional practice – honouring the divine feminine with black moonstone
Black Moonstone is the dark variety of its’ white sister. It belongs to the orthoclase feldspar family of crystals and exhibits a surface of waxy lustrous shimmer. Black Moonstone is connected to the moon’s cycles and the Moon Goddess herself. It will help you to access your dreams and bring insight how to follow the feminine path to realise them. It has a calming, soothing energy which helps to balance excess of masculine fire which may have been accumulated. Black Moonstone enhances energy healing and provides Goddess protection for those who follow the lunar path. It brings clarity and mystic revelations during meditation. Moonstone in general has been used to enhance fertility and to balance the female reproductive organs. The black variety is connected to the Black Madonna and Mary Magdalene and heals feminine wounding.
For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the Black Moonstone on your sacral chakra. Imagine how the watery fluidity of the Moonstone is entering your sacral chakra and spreading down your hips, legs, feet and toes, and connecting to the Earth Goddess below. Then, sense how the Moonstone energy is travelling upwards through your solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown chakra, and beyond, to connect to the Moon Goddess above. Sense how the vibration of Black Moonstone is creating a soothing and calming feeling in your whole body. Stay in the divine feminine energy of Black Moonstone and feel how your body, mind and soul are united. Note any messages you receive at this point.
Take a deep breath and say thank you to Black Moonstone and its’ healing gift.
Repeat this practice as often as you wish to connect to your divine feminine and to receive nourishment and peace.

A new moon is always a push forward. But this time the new moon is also big in blessings. And it’s spiritual. We are in the New Moon in Sagittarius. With optimism and open to new possibilities, it’s the sacred self that will guide us. While all the big planets are sitting in earth and fixed signs we are grateful for Sagittarius fire. It’s the spirit to propel us to something magnificent.
Venus will be meeting Jupiter, and both will enter ambitious but also limiting Capricorn later in the month. Their meeting in Sagittarius is significant for what we value and our beliefs are now rooted in a grand context. Mercury already moving ahead in Scorpio makes for a focused and powerful energy that is coming to push forwards and outwards into the world. The muddled sense of lack of direction permeating the last few weeks is replaced by a forceful desire for learning, for exploration, for achieving with others something bigger than ourselves.
Both Shekinah and Diana are spirit goddesses of the Moon energy. Sacred self is wisdom. Focused intention will bring forward gifts. Intuition is accentuated. It’s a further reminder that we have not yet left Scorpio’s feminine influence, so being strategic, calculative, passionate for what we want but also going all out with purpose, assertiveness and determination are with us. It’s a hunt and a prayer.
Sagittarius represented here by Diana will guide us to aim high and to always strive to transcend our situation, looking for justice and higher purpose according to our authentic self. On a more material level, Diana, Greek Goddess Artemis of nature and wildlife among other things, will encourage us to find our strength and mental focus by going out and making the most of the physical environment.
Love and life are everywhere outside, day and night. It’s time to think hard about our desires and go after them without fear! There is no need to hold back. The best will materialize.

The card for this week is the Temperance card from the colourful and innovative Tarot del Fuego deck. The person in the image holds one hand raised, while the left hand is pointing, the hands seem to command the water and the fire, either flowing in or out of the cornucopias, the horns of plenty. Two red doves fly behind the person. There is a rainbow against a blue sky, with alternating images of the sun and the moon at each side of the card. A crescent moon is at the person’s feet and a sun rises behind the moon. A green hummingbird is drinking nectar from an exotic flower. The presence of multiple eyes in the card is a theme of the whole deck itself.
Temperance has a balancing presence, one which makes us look at both sides of a story. Our own life story is one which is in constant creation, fluctuating up and down as we find our own way. The rainbow indicates that we will reach our dreams and a more balanced way of life but we have to take command of the ebb and flow to magically transform and transcend the difficulties, like the elemental outbursts of fire and water. The presence of the many moons and suns suggests that the balance within us is paralleling the balance we have outside our bodies, our environment needs to be equally harmonious so that we can find the Temperance in our own lives.
This message is synchronised with the full moon in Taurus, which asks us to acknowledge our earthly needs, we need to ground and balance with the earth and communicate with people who support us. We are here on earth to be fully embodied and to find the way of life which suits us. Receive the healing of the Taurean moon and welcome the balance and the power of being here and now.
Meditation with Temperance
Try this meditation with the Temperance card and observe any messages you receive.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Focus on the image of the card. Look how the person is commanding water and fire coming in and out of the cornucopias. Lose yourself in the colours of the rainbow and the deep blue sky. The hummingbird is fluttering its wings, perhaps carrying a message for you, while drinking the nectar from an exotic flower. The multiple suns and moons are alternating, their opposite, yet balancing and complementary energies are calling you to listen to them.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
What is your personal cornucopia? The secret abdundant source which you may have forgotten?
How can you nourish your body and soul with the nectar of life?
Additional practice – calling in joy with Girasol
Girasol is a lovely quartz crystal with a transclucent milky white blue colour. Girasol is named from the Italian gira sole, meaning to turn towards the sun, and originally used during the Renaissance in Venice describing the milky blue glass produced locally. The girasol effect is also used to describe the internal moving glow of a mineral under changing light. Girasol has a calming yet strong energy and it increases creativity in all areas of business, and also in artistic and practical issues. It improves communication skills and hence strengthens the connection with family, friends, lovers, partners and work colleagues. Girasol also increases high-vibrational love and passion, since it connects so well to the crown chakra.
Girasol will make you to see the truth in particular issues enabling you to speak more freely when sharing your own personal thoughts. It will help to neutralise past issues and return you to a neutral ground and to create balance. Girasol is perfect for meditation, it is relaxing and it helps to connect to deep meditative states. It is a crystal of clarity, inspiration and joy. Working with Girasol for a longer period of time will promote a fresh start and recharge the power and vitality of body, mind and soul. For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the Girasol on your crown chakra. Imagine how the lovely iridescent white blue colour is illuminating your crown chakra. Feel the energy of Girasol spreading all over your body, spreading down from the crown to your face, all the way down your neck, abdomen, hips and legs, and to the feet and toes. Sense how the vibration of Girasol is creating a soothing and calming feeling in your whole body. Stay in the illuminating energy of Girasol and feel how your body, mind and soul are united. Note any messages you receive at this point.
Take a deep breath and say thank you to Girasol and its’ healing gift.
Repeat this practice as often as you wish to connect to your spiritual joy and to receive illumination and vibrancy.

Rejoice for November! Well, sort of. Not exactly. But at least the Tower is behind us now, and so are all the fast moving upheavals of October. We have entered Scorpio season and all the big planets are charging ahead. Here we have three minor arcana cards to ease us through this transformative season. It wasn’t all bad. There was adventure, achievements, dreaming and passions. The self exploded in creativity. The turbulent emotions of September and October’s manifestations have given way to the weariness of battle. There is a sense of exhaustion. The summertime has wrapped up and we are within the depths of autumn holding onto the energy of change. The most contradictory set of expressions are emerging.
In the 5 of Swords we too are moving away to somewhere else. We are collecting what has been left behind, and only the basics that we can walk away with. Because while we are still looking back, whatever it was that was going on, has come to an end. So November is the beginning of a different state of being. We are certainly not thrilled but we have survived. Perhaps there was deception and perhaps there was just too much going on to cope with. And perhaps there was loss. A scattered energy that involved others has thrown us off course. This is the day after the day before.
The 4 of Pentacles certainly is an indication that we are left trying to hold on to something material to make up for either loss and sadness from the past, or a fearful projection of the future. There is stillness. Around us there is abundance but we are not interested. Looks like we have limited our identity to a material possession. We are holding on tight to representations of wealth while we are frozen in activity or motivation. And perhaps this is the time to be practical in our approach to remove stagnation or negativity that results in us becoming immobile and entrenched.
The 8 of pentacles shows us the way out. If we are tired from the fight and have become stuck in a situation that goes nowhere, we can fall back on our skills and talents. We can immerse ourselves in study, work, creativity. Away from the madding crowd we can find our truth. With repetition and care for detailed work we can transcend. This is about mastery in everyday life. The lesson is clear.
With Mercury going retrograde in Scorpio for three weeks the focus is about knowing ourselves and being clever with our hands, going over things and perfecting, slowly moving and repeating tasks. Whatever we engage with and put our energy into is for the long term. So act wisely, be methodical, humble, filter out the noise, you’ve got everything you need to excel.
This month will end very differently to how it’s starting! It will be transformative and our mastery will be impactful! There is light in the dark. We are enlightened. And the light spreads for others out in the world as we become one with nature!

This week we will look at card number 54 from the Iris Oracle Deck by Mary Elizabeth Evans. The card has an open green hand with a blue keyhole in it, and there are two different keys below the hand. Seven stars form an arch above the hand and the all-seeing eye is looking out from above the stars. The background is a heart-felt pink.
This card signifies that you might have felt lost for a while and feeling like you can not find the solution to your issues. The card asks you to hold off any big decisions until you have found peace of mind, when this occurs you will be handed the keys and the answers you are seeking for your next move.
With the new moon in Scorpio, we may feel that secrets have been withheld from us, or alternatively, we may have been keeping secrets from others. Personal integrity, feeling safe and forging boundaries from people whose presence cause energy leakage are topics heightened during this new moon cycle. Scorpio is tenacious and will be rewarded richly after her patience has taken her far, but she also needs rest and nurture. Being the occult sign of the Zodiac, use this Scorpio new moon to quietly connect with your true self, meditate in a darkened room and cocoon yourself inside your soul to stabilise and recharge.
Meditation with the card
Try this meditation with the card and take note of the message for you.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Focus on the image of the card. Feel the radiance of the seven stars comforting your aura. Let the all-seeing eye reveal your very own secrets to yourself. Observe the open hand and the keyhole. Which key will fit with your personal quest? Let the answers flood through you, but do not let anything stick for now.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
What would your two keys represent?
How can you unlock your potential – or is there a need to do so at the moment?
You might want to unlock a completely new potential which is personal and secretive and not make any decisions until you feel completely certain of the answer.
Additional practice – calling in strength with Bumblebee Jasper
Bumblebee Jasper is a beautiful yellow, black and white coloured stone, formed by volcanic matter, anhydrite and hematite, and also sulphur and arsenic. The patterns are reminiscent of that of a bee, giving the stone its’ name Bumblebee Jasper. Since it is volcanic, Bumblebee Jasper has powerful earth energy which vitalises our body, mind and soul when we feel depleted and tired. It can be used on the sacral and solar plexus chakras to stimulate and release stuck and old energy we no longer need.
Bumblebee Jasper increases self-esteem and helps to accept change and to find new opportunities. It will enable you to get answers and a clear vision of what to do next, it initiates and organises a practical plan for changing your life around. Bumblebee Jasper will help you to make decisions without relying too much on emotions. Physically, Bumblebee Jasper may help with allergies, issues of the abdomen and disorders of the nervous and circulatory system.
It is also known as Eclipse stone and Fumarolic or Fumarole Jasper. The yellow colour is due to the presence of sulphur and arsenic so it is not suitable for gem elixirs. Always wash your hands after using Bumblebee Jasper.
For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the Bumblebee Jasper on your solar plexus. Imagine how the beautiful yellow colour is strengthening your whole abdomen. Sense how the yellow colour is spreading all over your body, all the way down the feet and toes, and then all the way up to your crown chakra at the top of your head. Feel how the yellow energy is creating a powerful and awakening vibration in your whole being. Stay in the supportive energy of Bumblebee Jasper and feel how your body, mind and soul are united. Note any messages you receive at this point.
Take a deep breath and say thank you to Bumblebee Jasper and its’ healing gift.
Repeat this practice as often as you wish to strengthen yourself and to find encouragement in your daily life.

The appearance of the Moon still refers to events that happened during the cosmic shake up in September. October continues to deliver dreams and imagination that have been so potent during the Pisces full moon of last month.
So the Moon which – lets not forget – moves quickly, governs events and our deepest need, is a strong indicator of mysterious happenings. Changing circumstances, seeing things under cover with all of our senses alerted, and an enhanced perception beyond the visual, are indicated with this card and its’ representation of the new moon in Libra.
It is also a caution, maybe not of mistrust, but of awareness. It is telling us not to take events, people and actions at face value. There will be misleading factors coming from our environment and from within. Things we’d like to believe, illusions and stories made up in our heads, people we idolize. Measured escapism can be inspiring, daydreaming is healing, and connecting with transcended beings is enriching. But a balance must be struck nonetheless, or we will fly away with ourselves. And we may be lost in others too.
A revelation or an insight will shake us and this could be something mental or spiritual that will bring a total collapse. What seemed solid, embedded, rooted, and secure, will be now be shaken by something akin to a lightning bolt from the universe. What is light and mobile will fly away. Something new is waiting to take its’ place. But it’s not clear what as yet. Change is inescapable. Illusions or false beliefs will not help. Truth will be destructive. A period of chaos, or a sense of chaos, is forewarned. This month is starting to look like a make or break time. What starts off as fear, anxiety or delusion, develops to an actual break-up.
The cards contain their own advice to see us through disturbing circumstances and that is to trust our inner self. Trust your intuition. Your eyes might deceive you but your core values will not let you down. But we need to go through it to come out of it. And that’s a big lesson. Ultimately, there will be a promise of opportunity. There will be growth and a potential to find ourselves in a much better place than where we were before.
The Ace of Wands is a card of achievement and passion. New projects will replace old structures. Creative energy will replace passive illusion. Belief in the cosmic plan and action to follow through our dreams will lead to triumph. But a lot of work is waiting ahead of us to materialize any of it. It’s looking to be a surprisingly intricate and eventful month full of initiations, passions and disruptions. Most of all be present, and make the best of it.
Flavia

With the New Moon in Libra we are now climbing up the chart heading for the top. Angelite and Citrine can be our friends this month. They will help us to stay on track. They are healing and soothing, bringing the resplendent light they reflect to be part of us.
We took off with Aries initiating, and creating new beginnings by knowing the self, with a focus on identity. As we moved into Taurus our values and what we love started to materialize and begun to take form. In Gemini our thoughts and communication became paramount. Travelling through Cancer, and as the season begun to shape up, our home and our environment around us, gave us grounding and a foundation from where we could build. And so we are still moving through the bottom of the chart. Leo arrived full of exuberance and creativity. All things love mattered: the self became King and Queen. But calmly and steadily we reached Virgo. It was a timeline about care, mastery and preparation.
And now all of a sudden – and yet not too soon – we find ourselves in Libra, and half-way through the astrological year. We are now climbing higher in the chart with the realization that others matter. We are in relationship mode. We see ourselves in others and the people we hang out with, the groups we belong to, the friendships we make, reflect who we really are.
Angelite confirms this. We can hold, or think of, this stone as a reminder that we will find happiness and emotional expansion by staying close to those that are aligned with our values. We can join groups or travel to places where we can be with people that have similar ideas and aspirations as us. We are looking out for people we admire and those that represent our aesthetic values, beauty, history, spirituality and higher self. This will give us strength and confidence in ourselves to develop further, and grow emotionally, creatively, intellectually, and even materially. If we are having problems with health, work, substances, mental blocks or direction, and we want to address them, now it’s the right time to seek those who can help us. We are not alone. We are all reflected in each other.
And so Citrine further encourages us beyond taking practical steps to be with like-minded people, that we can draw power and energy from Citrine which shines through to be optimistic and purposeful. The self in others and the greater picture are illuminated by the New Moon in Libra.

The mermaid Undine will guide us this week. Her secretive gaze and calm demeanour indicate that she knows how to keep herself balanced and nourished. She is surrounded by fish and sea-plants who keep her company in the ocean’s depth. Undine is derived from Paracelsus theory of elemental beings called undines who inhabit the water, and inspired the romance Undine, written by Baron F.H.C. La Motte Fouqué in 1811. Undine has no soul, and to acquire one, she needs to marry a mortal man and have his child. As a mermaid, Undine has the magical abilities to move within the immortal and mortal world, and by choice, she can become her deepest desire.
Undine tells us that when we keep on working diligently towards our goal, we flow to our prosperous destiny with ease. Following our heart in an enterprising venture, we are rewarded with possibilities and opportunities. She does not want us to meddle in unnecessary information and reminds us to caution our communication with those we do not trust. Stay objective in discussions which have reached a dead-end.
With the blessings of the full moon in Pisces, we are naturally flowing towards our dreams, and Undine encourages us to keep on going, and to focus on the bigger vision. The watery Pisces may sometimes cloud our sight, but by staying true to that which we deeply desire, we will be able to reach our truthful destination.
Meditation with Undine
Try this meditation with Undine and listen to her special message to you.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Focus on the image of Undine. Observe how calmly she is floating in the ocean. Her hair is moving like a prosperous auburn wave around her. The fish and sea-plants are nourishing her immediate environment, a physical place in which she feels at ease, and which supports her mindful state of meditative calmness.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions:
What are the three most stressful issues you are currently experiencing?
How can you transform these issues into a more balanced way of life?
Additional practice – finding calmness with Blue Calcite
Blue Calcite is a soft and calming crystal, containing calcium carbonate, with a shiny surface and a waxy texture. Blue Calcite is soothing and relaxing and it is helpful for anxiety and depression. It calms emotions and protects the aura through the transmutation of heavy and intrusive forces into positive energy. Because of its’ calming effect, Blue Calcite allows emotional situations to be levelled into a more balanced state of mind and enhances communication between your thoughts and feelings. It makes you more conscious of how other people are thinking, revealing unspoken information. Blue Calcite works wonderfully with the third eye and throat chakras, expanding your communicative and psychic gifts. It can be used to clear disagreements and show a new way to look at situations by healing old thought-patterns. Blue Calcite promotes deep sleep and dream states.
For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the Blue Calcite on your heart chakra. Imagine how the beautiful pale blue colour is calming your heart. Sense how the colour is spreading all over your body, all the way down to the feet and toes, and then all the way up to your crown chakra at the top of your head. Feel how the blue energy is creating a beautiful calming vibration in your whole body. Stay in the nurturing energy of Blue Calcite and feel how your heart and your soul are synchronised. Note any messages you receive at this point.
Take a deep breath and say thank you to Blue Calcite and its’ healing gift.
Repeat this practice as often as you wish to calm your mind, body and soul, and to nourish your deepest dreams.

We are in September and the sign of Virgo. On the 30th of August we already had the Moon, the Sun, Mars, Venus and Mercury all congregating in Virgo. That’s a lot of energy powering the Virgo domain. A bit of nostalgia and melancholia for the summer is unavoidably in the cards. We will overcome it as we absorb it in our daily lives by being pragmatic and industrious.
This is not the traditional and superbly iconic 3 of Swords we are used to seeing. Instead of the pierced heart we are familiar with, we have a sword logged deep into the earth. But the inescapable message of the month is cutting, nonetheless. This is the month of Virgo, associated with cleansing, and so cutting off from everything and anything damaging dominates every mood, every action. And this would be the story of this month in a nutshell. In fact, we have two sword cards to deal with in September.
In a landscape seemingly of ice, of water falling from above, and flowers crowning this image, a sword is cutting through all of it. It is embedded deeply. But is it logged securely? The earth looks more like ice. A person is kneeling as if in prayer and reception. A shower of clean fresh water looks like it’s falling from the sky and through a spray of unnaturally large flowers. It’s not clear in the image where the ground starts and where the sky begins, or vice versa. It’s a card of blessings. The hardness of the ice has been broken. Stumbling blocks have been removed to reveal further blessings in the form of abundant water from above and from below. Hard work is paying off. Tranquillity permeates. But there is transformation. All elements are drawn in. The birds and the trees, the flowers and the fruits of the earth, under a clear sky on a clement day.
As the card sits right next to the 7 of Cups, an unmistakable sign of dreams and wishes, gifts and objects of desire, this signifies that all these things are possible and within our reach. They can be multifaceted and complex. And they are right there in front of us ready for the taking once we let go and break free. But from what?
This can sometimes be the hardest lesson to learn and the toughest situation to be in. What needs to let go and when we have to reach out to pick up what we really want. Not what we are conditioned to think we want. Or what others want from us. Or even what we mistakenly think they want. Be mindful of your options! A lot of interpretations suggest a freeze and lack of initiative with the appearance of this card, hesitant commitment or immobile action. But standing between the two swords cards, this is very unlikely. How can it possibly be the case, as Swords are denoting moments in flux and constant change. It is likely, however, for some people this is cerebral, rather than physical moment of movement, endings and change. A moment of thinking, analysing, contextualising. Choose wisely, as they say, because you might get what you wished for. While obstacles are removed and possibilities open up, the main thing is go according to our higher purpose. The values we hold are being tested.
The 3 of Swords reminds us to cut bonds with what doesn’t serve us in order to welcome what our hearts really need. On the face of it, it might even seem unrealistic, just like these flowers and the foreground. The lay-out of the spread tells us we might not even have a choice. Events like the wind are carrying us forward.
Finally the 7 of Swords, more air element, make that point loud and clear. Cut through the deception and fake promises. There’s going to be a lot of that as well. So prepare yourself. Follow your heart. Organise yourself. Get rid of unpleasantness. Throw the rubbish away. Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by falsity and don’t let yourself be sneaky either. It won’t help. It’s not to your advantage. Right now we are all collecting what we saw from the whole year and sorting through. Stay clean body and mind. Be good to yourself and to others. Prepare for change.

Themis, the Goddess of Divine Law, Order and Justice, arrives this week to guide us. Beautifully painted by Susan Seddon Boulet, her depiction of Themis shows the Goddess resting, while performing her oracular magic. She is one of the oldest Goddesses in Greece, her mother is Gaia, the earth Goddess and her father Uranus, the sky God. With Zeus, she had six daughters, including the Three Fates, who determine the destiny of all mortals and Gods. Delphi was one of Themis oracular places, where she foretold the future. When she prophesied, she was the Divine voice, themistes, instructing humans in the essential laws of right and wrong. Themis is the personification of natural law, an abstract concept difficult to represent symbolically. She was assigned the scales as a symbol for balance and the cornucopia, or horn of plenty, as a symbol for abundance. Later on, Themis was depicted masked, or wearing a blindfold, as not to see who, or what, she was judging. Themis excels in making aegis, shields, and when the Goddess Athena was born, she was given an aegis by Themis.
In her role as an earth Goddess, Themis gives us a message to stay grounded and she reminds us that social order is dependent on the natural order of earth. Her deep wisdom of both the earth and sky functions as a guide into our soul. In Virgo season, we may feel that the earth’s gifts are bountiful, or we may feel a lack of prosperity. Themis steps in to create a balance in our material world, by cleansing away that which is in excess and bringing in that which is needed. Her wisdom of the cycles of nature, coupled with her sense of justice, is to ensure fairness to all living things.
Themis also reminds us of our own predictive talents, and as the masked Goddess, she tells us to listen to our intuition and not to follow promises which make us feel doubtful. Her skills as a shield-maker indicates that we are capable of protecting that which we believe in, and that we are always protected by the greater order of the universe.
Meditation with Themis
Try this meditation with Themis and tune into what her special message to you is.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Focus on the image of Themis, resting with one eye open, she is the Oracle of Delphi and her knowledge of the past and the future is vast. Ask her one question, the most urgent and important one you have. Observe how the sun and the moon energetically complement each other with their fiery and aquatic energies, and with the earth and her animals as a balancing factor. With Themis, we know we are held and safe and that our experience of being human is symbiotic with natures and its’ cycles.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
What answer did Themis give you?
Which steps can you take to fulfil her answer?
Additional practice – manifesting prosperity with Lapis lazuli
Lapis lazuli is a beautiful blue stone and its’ name comes from the Latin lapis, meaning stone, and the Persian lazhuward, blue. Lapis lazuli is formed by multiple minerals; lazurite, sodalite, calcite and pyrite. Ultramarine, the striking blue paint used in many world-famous paintings, is created from ground Lapis. It has been highly regarded as a stone of inspiration, courage and divination in many ancient and contemporary cultures. Lapis lazuli supports the third eye for prophetic sight, astral travel and past life insight, and the throat chakra for communicating with authority and integrity. Lapis lazuli will not let anyone diminish your personal power. Lapis lazuli is grounding, calming and strengthening and makes us confident to receive prosperous opportunities. It is perfect when studying since it improves concentration and it gives courage during auditions and job interviews. Lapis lazuli promotes truthfulness, mental clarity and it helps to organise our daily lives. It is a manifestation stone, first attracting the energy and then bringing in the material outcome of your wishes, in a calm and steady manner.
For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the Lapis lazuli on your third eye chakra. Imagine how the beautiful deep blue colour is soothing your third eye and balancing your thoughts. Sense how the colour is spreading all over your body, all the way down the feet and all the way up to your crown chakra at the top of your head. Feel how the blue energy is creating a grounding blue shield around you, making you feel balanced and vibrant. Stay in the stabilising energy of Lapis lazuli and feel how relaxed and receptive you are to manifest prosperity. Note any messages you receive at this point.
Take a deep breath and say thank you to Lapis lazuli and its’ healing gift.
Repeat this practice as often as you wish. It will help to manifest prosperity and opportunities which are aligned with your highest good.

The full moon in August is a full moon in Aquarius. She invites us to release all barriers to complete our creative projects, publications, plans, and engage with others. We can ask for help or just another opinion. An extra set of eyes can offer a different perspective or might help us suggest something that will reveal answers and solutions – sometimes obvious and sometimes hidden. In any case, it points us to open up to others and join groups of like-minded people. Barriers to participate in the community, teams or organisations will be blown away. As we stand still under the Sun in Leo, these are projects, goals and inventions that come from the heart. Friends and relatives are part of our special path in life. Forward movement will happen with the assistance of others who divinely have turned up for our benefit. Accept the editor’s input and be grateful. It will be a happy surprise.
Flavia

The aftershocks of July with its retrogrades and eclipses still reverberate as we enter August. We are still feeling the retrogrades creating confusion, and the eclipses sending dramatic messages uprooting us and tearing up old structures. Anything unforeseen is possible. So the month finds us suspended and motionless but in a halo of wisdom, not taking anything for granted, but instead seeing the world from another perspective. We maybe having had to deal with a sudden turn of events, and holding space for us and others. Mercury’s shadow period will last for a couple of weeks into the month and the eclipses could be sending a second wave of messages, urging us to follow new paths and finally conclude with situations that no longer serve us. While this is going on we can only surrender serenely to events using our restrictive circumstances, or necessary pause, to gain a new point of view and drill down to the absolute fundamentals of life. Reflect and meditate on what matters to us. What are the thing we most value? Change is inevitable and this voluntary, or involuntary, suspension will help our decision making when things pick up and energetically start moving again.
But before that happens we are reminded by the Devil that we still have some work to do. And it’s work that goes inside us. It’s personal, it’s about us facing our demons, our self imposed limitations, our fears and nightmares, anything that might be an addiction. An addiction which can be substances, inter-dependency to others, negative self-talk or simply bad habits. Anything and everything poisoning our existence that we fear is larger than us becomes pronounced. This darkness in the background that naggingly won’t allow us to enjoy a fulfilling and joyful life with others and in ourselves has to be dealt with now. The Devil card reminds us that if we want to move on and out we need to face up to it – whatever it might be. We can not hide, and it won’t be to our benefit anyway. Now is the right time to face darkness and resolve personal challenges. We have to go through to go out. So that the month promises to be very active with people and things, and in a way that would benefit us and those around us. There are going to be some tough moments in August only because we absolutely need to finish off projects, personal or professional, and move on. Once this is done, there’s no turning back.
Ultimately, this will give us the World. The World which contains all the elements – fire, earth, air and water as represented by the images depicted in the four corners of a lion, an ox, an eagle and an angel – our own contribution as we create our path in life. We are not passive in the happening of the World rather we rise and participate in creating it. The Universe is with us and Luck is on our side. Work is paying off. The time has come to celebrate our accomplishments. The end of August culminates with another new moon that will find us in a totally different place to that of when we started the month. We are now encircled in garlands of success and flying up in the air with emotion and joy.
All three cards this month are heralding change in its different forms, and demanding that we pay attention in specific areas of life. First, accepting and observing, taking our time and not reacting to events. Subsequently, dealing with honesty and integrity any negative influences or obstacles that bound us to an unhealthy situation. And finally, change is coming by reaching our goal. We have achieved what we set out to do. And quite deservedly we are ecstatic about it.
To sum up: The Hanged Man teaches us about the metamorphosis which is under way and the Devil what we have to do in order to achieve our highest purpose. There is vitality and evolution with great rewards. The recurring theme of August is bondage and liberation. Breaking old patterns too. We are all evolving.

The Exemplar of the Pipes from the Medicine Woman Tarot steps forward this week to guide us. Traditionally this card is the King of Wands, a fiery man with authority. In the Medicine Woman Tarot, the card shows us a powerful woman, wearing a pink dress with a cloak, and a feathered headdress, holding a staff and a smoking pipe. A white deer and the sun are depicted on the shield behind her. She sits on a boulder, and there is a flute with flowers below her.
The card represents a charismatic leader who is entrepreneurial, ambitious and creative. She can take on a big challenge and lead herself and her people through any blocks which present themselves along the way. The card reminds us to be an exemplary leader, in our own life and also in the lives of those around you. We know what we have to do and decision making comes easily to us now. This is not the time to hesitate or feel small since the possibility of success is now open and there are no substantial obstacles. You can take your desired course of action, it will harmonize with your wishes.
There is a performative aspect to this card which is aligned with the new moon in Leo on 1 August. Accessing our leadership qualities might necessitate a performance. However, this acting is coming from the heart as the leonine passion is heart-centred and bold, with a touch of the theatrical. The Exemplar of the Pipes indicates that there is an initiation of a new era, coupled with the Leo new moon energy, there is an awakening of our creativity. Take the opportunities which are presented within the next six months, and have no fear, because everything is waiting for you.

Additional practice – connecting to your feminine fire with Carnelian
Carnelian is a warm and joyful crystal which is energising, empowering and awakening. It has a colour range from pink-orange to rusty brown. The internal structure of carnelian is trigonic, and it is a variety of chalcedony belonging to the quartz family. Carnelian is derived from a Latin word meaning flesh and it has a stimulating energy which ignites passion. Carnelian was worn by ancient warriors to enhance courage and physical power. In Egypt, carnelian was called the setting sun and its’ orange colour was identified with receptive or passive female energies and associated with the Goddess Isis fertile menstrual blood. Carnelian encourages action and helps us to overcome procrastination and/or indecision and it tells us to stop waiting for our dreams to appear and instead activates us to bring them into reality. It connects us to feminine power, sensuality, sexuality, abundance, prosperity and creativity. Carnelian is stimulating and motivating and it awakens our leadership qualities and courage.

A powerful partial lunar eclipse in Capricorn is all consuming in July. It releases old ways of doing things, dissolves outward structures and embedded situations, and takes us by surprise regardless of what we know, and how we are anticipating it. With cold Saturn sitting in Capricorn – his own home – and his mate power-player Pluto visiting, and stationing there comfortably, it’s rumoured to be a tough time. So we are reminded of love, a personal love and a universal love, taking chances, forgiving and looking after the things that really matter. Those things we value most, the people around us, our relationships and our own health are intertwined and demand prioritising. Whatever the limitations or the hurt, we will be called to rise above the mud and trust our intuition, and be willing to forgive others and ourselves. We will find peace and compassion in others. Our strength will come from keeping the channels of communication open and being present.
Flavia

Much anticipated July is upon us. With fear and some weariness, we are told to expect nothing less than life transformative events. Astrologers, lightworkers, intuitives and everyone striving to uplift life’s frequencies is aware of the two new moons and the two eclipses that fall in July. A full solar eclipse at the new moon on the 2 July, falls in Cancer, and it’s visible mostly in south America, especially Chile. It heralds openings and opportunities. It’s a bringer of news, events, people, situations and opening of newness with enhanced energy. A partial lunar eclipse follows on the 16 July, falls in Capricorn, and it’s visible in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. This is when things fall apart, get released, crumble, deteriorate, get expunged, go away for ever. It’s an emotional time for everyone.
But there is more: Pluto, God of power and poison, ruler of Scorpio, is waiting for us in Capricorn where the lunar eclipse action takes place. Expect this eclipse to have very strong Scorpionic vibes of merging and releasing. Pluto is stationed nearby Saturn, God of time and boundaries, and together they bring a very heavy structural energy that is consuming and overpowering. Moreover, they are retrograde. Jupiter in Sagittarius is retrograde. And so is Neptune in Pisces. These are big slow planets. Their impact is inescapable and profound. But fast moving Mercury is retrograde too, meeting Mars back and forth in his travels and taking his message with him, broadcasting it loud and clear. With Venus staying at home in Cancer, the energy feels further reactive.
So what does it all mean? This is the cosmic picture. But I think the cards will bring a bit of clarity in the visual realm: as depicted with the Nine of Wands, we find ourselves at the end of a battle. Indeed we are more than half way through the year. Things have concluded. It’s not all over yet but nearly. We are upright. We haven’t fallen, but the trauma of events, conflicts and challenges we had to overcome is visible. It’s not an open wound. It’s a carefully bundled trauma. We are looking around us, taking stock, and also looking to the past. The deep past and the immediate past is still fresh in our minds. It looms big. The wounds haven’t healed yet. Some are quite sweet, the pain reminding us of achievement in battle. The exhaustion is palpable. We still are not sure, however, what will come after the battle.
No worries. Here comes the Ace of Swords to tell us: go for it. You can do it. Opportunities and options are there for the taking. A noble cause will inspire and fortify your resolve almost immediately. From now on expect the pace to pick up. Once the debris has cleared out and the poisons have left us, there’s no looking back. Things will happen fast and unexpectedly. Anger and action that comes from the heart will dominate. Feelings, our sense of initiative, ideas, thoughts, concepts, our ability to deal with challenges comes to the forefront. Cosmic forces are within and without.
And finally, we are not going to be let down. The King of Swords brings in some objectivity to the whole situation. Not only that, but the card tells us that we have achieved mastery in at least one area of life. Where the battle was, where we fought and gave it all, that’s the area where we became masters. It’s a card denoting an intellectual significance to a situation, justice and knowledge. We are now confident that we have gained those hard fought gifts and our lives are imminently much richer and healthier, away from negativity, poisons and restrictions. Despite those outward heavy structures, ultimately all victory will have to come from us. And not only we will survive, but we will find ourselves in a much better place than we were before. The King of Swords is not just full of confidence and authority but he has mastered decision-making as well. By the end of July we should have taken important decisions to act upon.

The Priestess of Cups from the Motherpeace Tarot is our guide this week. In this card, the Priestess is depicted as a mermaid sitting on the shore. There is a tower behind her, partly clouded and situated on a steep hill. She holds a lyre in her left hand, playing beautiful music, which is heard by the whale jumping out of the ocean. The mermaid priestess does not rely on verbal communication, instead she conveys her message via the sound of the seven-stringed lyre.
Receiving this card is a reminder that now is the time to focus our thoughts within and let our feelings and desires be central to our very being. By adopting the role of the archetypal muse, the mermaid priestess inspires us to find our inner creatress. Her unconscious thoughts yield to the ocean of collective memory where new ideas will be conceived. The mermaid priestess represents the soul and the inner part of us, and she mediates between the spirit world and our daily life and between the sky and earth. Being all water, the mermaid priestess channels feelings, desires, dreams and inner visions. She also promotes the nourishment of the womb, mother-love and divine inspiration. She swims through the unconscious like a fish and at the same time she breathes and thinks like a human.
The card is synchronised with the post-Solstice watery energy of the Cancer season. We can now rest and nourish by going inward and considering with a grateful heart all that we have achieved so far this year. Trust that all is as it should be and that your intuition is receiving the profound messages for you to act on when the time is right. Your deep feminine power is rising.

Additional practice – connecting to your spiritual creativity with Celestite
Celestite is a beautiful translucent pale blue crystal which is calming, soft and positive. The internal structure of celestite is orthorhombic and its’ high-vibrational healing frequency radiates in all directions. The name celestite comes from the Latin caelestis, meaning “celestial” or “heavenly,” referring to the blue colour of the sky. It connects us to the angelic realm, ignites clairvoyance, dream recall, and calms anxiety and panic attacks. Celestite is a stone of creativity and promotes the skills of artists, musicians and writers. It expands our consciousness and ability to receive wisdom from the divine source and teaches us to patiently trust in the divine process. Celestite is associated with the Roman Goddess Juterna who watches over brooks, ponds, wells and springs, providing nourishment and health. It is also connected to the Archangels Michael, Gabriel, Haniel, and Seraphiel.
For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the celestite on your sacral chakra. Imagine how the beautiful pale blue colour of the celestite nourishes your sacral area. Sense how any blockages you have in receiving the very best for you is lifted away. Feel how the sky-blue colour is deepening your connection to your inner muse, the divine and angelic realm. Note any messages you receive at this point.
Take a deep breath and say thank you to celestite and its’ healing gift.
Repeat this practice as often as you wish. It will help to awaken your creativity and your receptivity to divine messages.

It is June and summer has officially started. It’s also Gemini season when we naturally become more curious, adventurous and sociable. The new moon in Gemini is a calling to favour a breadth of activities rather than depth in what we do. And it will be busy. Venus enters Gemini on the 8th of June, strengthening the vibe of flirtation, living in the moment and finding beauty in experiences and mental stimulation. All this is taking place right in the middle of the year. It is a time for taking stock and recalibrating our intentions, examining our situation and progress. We look at our achievements in the year so far, what was a triumph, and what has let us down or veered in the wrong direction, now we can set it straight or add to previous glories.
Thinking about it from that perspective, the cards that turned up look rather ominous. Messages of bad news or difficult forebodings, even notions of misfortune. But let’s take them in Gemini style. Not one at a time, but all together simultaneously. Lets try and listen to their meaning as they all talk to us at once. What do they tell us? Perhaps they tell us: we are at the beginning of everything. In some sense or another agency is with us.
We can make a course correction as we assess where we stand in relation to people and circumstances. Even at the lowest point emotionally or physically – the number one – is that we can keep our dignity and self respect, our pride and self acceptance with humility. We might be experiencing a level of anxiety or just exhaustion from a long and demanding winter. We could be feeling a heavy energy not because we are in a bad place – indeed the opposite is just as likely – but because to get where we are, took a lot out of us.
We are still carrying a heavy load we can’t let go of, and we need support. How we feel and see the world is important. The challenges we face tell us there’s a lot that has to be resolved. In order to do this, we are going to be kind to ourselves. If we need help, we should ask for it, and it’s there for us. If others need our help, we should not hesitate. A reminder that helping others is part of our own well-being, strength and dignity. Charity starts at home and it is personal as the Sun moves through the lower part of the chart, regardless where it stands on the individual one. Love, forgiveness, generosity and everything associated with Charity will guide us in moving forward.
The Misero is moving slowly. His message is to take it easy, and keep going, bring determination and acceptance into the forefront. It’s not time yet to materialise the possibilities. But they are ahead of us. What seems rough on the outside is only the beginning, not the end. We are back at the beginning of everything every single day. And there is the other side to get to. We are not there yet. Let’s not rush the journey.

The Daughter of Cups from the Motherpeace Tarot comes forward to guide us this week. In the card we see a woman who sits in a pool of water, with one arm and leg raised to receive a flowing stream from above. Red rock walls surround her and there is a tree to the right. A turtle walks slowly past her, carrying a white jar with sacred water on its’ back.
The card signifies that it is time to invoke joy and playfulness into our lives. We need to pause and immerse ourselves in the beauty of our inner world. Playing in the sensual waters, the Daughter of Cups has a sense of humour, she tells us to feel good about ourselves and be receptive. The magical mineral waters flow into her crown chakra like cosmic light and then splashes all over her body, reminding us to celebrate our body but also to pay attention to heightened psychic awareness. The tree reaches out to the Daughter, representing life, while the rock walls enclose her in love. The turtle represents the ability to enter and exit our inner world. In Native American mythology the turtle carries the world on its’ back. The Hopi plant a water jar where they wish to settle, a ceremony conducted in a state of purity to ensure that water will always flow from the ground.
Receiving this card indicates that you are currently feeling a range of emotions strongly, this is a call from your inner child who wants to be noticed. It doesn’t matter whether she is sad or happy, it is the process of immersing and experiencing her emotions which is important. This will lead to self-revelation and a playful state of being, which in turn will bring transformation. The essence of the Daughter of Cups is magnetic and inclusive, she uses creative visualisations to make her desires and dreams come true. She tells us that there is an opening of the inner voice after a fearless dive into the soul.
The card resonates with the recent full moon in Scorpio. Now is the time to look deep inside yourself and admit to the big dreams. This will lead to an emerging joy of wisdom and the knowing that a deep transformation is occurring.

How can you let your inner child out to play?
What dreams did you have as a child which you have not fulfilled yet?
Additional practice – transforming negative patterns with Malachite
Malachite is a striking green opaque stone with a silken surface, its’ internal structure is monoclinic, providing an energetic vibration of balance and smoothness. The name malachite comes from the Greek molochitis lithos meaning “mallow-green stone” because it resembles the leaves from the mallow plant. Egyptians associated green with death and the power of resurrection, calling the afterlife “Field of Malachite”. From antiquity to the 1800s, malachite was used as a mineral pigment in paint. As a stone of healing, malachite ignites transformation and removes emotional blockages by dissolving old belief systems which no longer serve you. Toxic energy is neutralised by malachite and it also guards against negativity. The rich green colour of malachite infuses us with the possibilities of change and supports our soul-growth through living an abundant heart-centred life.
For the healing ceremony, sit or lie down. Hold the malachite between your palms, in front of your solar plexus chakra. Imagine any negative people and situations leaving your auric field through the solar plexus. Sense how the green colour of the malachite purifies your energy channels and then strengthens your whole being, on all levels of the body, mind and soul. Take a deep breath and say thank you to malachite and its’ transformational gift.
Repeat this practice as often as you wish. It will assist in detoxifying your relationships and any situations which have become a burden and provides a space for more light to enter.

This week we will look at the Four of Disks from the Motherpeace Tarot. This card shows us a woman who is closing the door to the outside world. She has lit a fire at the centre of the room, the smoke rises to the hole in the ceiling and there are four shields hanging on the wall.
The card represents an inner sanctuary, the woman needs silence, a private, uncluttered space, where she can open and close the door at her own will. Here she finds the stillness she needs to be able to listen to her inner guidance. The four shield-disks on the wall represent, from left to right, the spiral to the centre to self, a magical flight to the heavenly realm, rhythmic balance of going in and out of a space/self, and the last one represents the integration of the four elements. The number four represents structure, therefore this card signifies that the solid foundation you desire is currently created by both internal and external forces.
Receiving this card indicates that you are building a foundation for yourself, an inner strength which is best constructed alone. This card suggests that you will need to say no to others’ needs at the moment, until you find out what you need and desire for yourself. By putting up shields, you can focus on your path and not be influenced by others who may want to tear down your structures. Your intuition will guide you to those you can trust. Meanwhile, your door stays closed while you build up the strength to reveal your grandeur.
With the recent new moon in Taurus and the retrogrades of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, the card asks you to slow down and take a deep look inside to find out how to nurture your foundation. With the Taurus steadiness and desire for a proper structure you can now do things at your own pace. There is enough time to both realise and receive the big dream. Like the woman in the card, share your dreams only with those who you allow through the door, the ones who support you with an open heart.
Meditation with the Four of Disks
Try this meditation with the Four of Disks and feel what the card wants to tell you.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Focus on the image of the woman closing the door and the fire rising to the ceiling. Notice how the four shield-disks on the wall provide a symbolic narrative for the woman’s inner sanctuary. The warm colours are nurturing and calming. There is a lovely quiet moment of finding your centre and your inner soul space.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
Is it safe to share your dreams or do you need to work on them behind closed doors for a bit longer?
What would make you feel more safe in in sharing your dreams?
Additional practice – create a bodily grounding ceremony with pyrite
Pyrite is commonly called Fool’s Gold, while its’ actual name pyrite comes from the Greek pyror, pyros, meaning “fire” since it emits sparks when pieces are struck together. Native Americans used pyrite for healing and magic, polishing it into mirrors for gazing and divination. Pyrite was used in Victorian jewellery as marcasite, creating beautiful items, popular due to their sparkle. The internal structure of pyrite is cubic and energetically this provides grounding and calls in structured abundance. Tactually, its’ heavy weight is comforting and when holding pyrite you can embody a sense of wealth, stability, positivity and sparkling protection.
For the grounding ceremony, hold the pyrite between your palms, in front of your root chakra. Stand with your bare feet on the ground for five minutes, or longer if you wish. Feel how you are earthing and growing sparkling nourishing roots into the soil. Say thank you to the universe for providing you with the grounding you need.
Repeat this practice as often as you wish or when you feel ungrounded. The nurture you give your body with repeated grounding practices will help to strengthen your internal structure, and this in turn, strengthens the materialisation of your dreams.

The year is very reassuringly getting close to the mid point. Soon the sun with be coming over the horizon. In May we are steadily moving ahead with our projects and growing in abundance as things come to fruition. Such growth comes with the thundering power of Jupiter heralding justice
and encouraging us to have faith in ourselves and in the process. It’s a benevolent time, full of expansion. Whenever we see Jupiter presenting himself we feel rather a sense of butterflies in the stomach, because some luck is waiting around the corner. It could be something fortunate
that we might have wished for, or something that never crossed our minds, an explicit situation or thing that we desire will manifest, whether earned or just bestowed, it will be a gift. A generous gift of a positive turn of events that will make us feel hopeful and filled with trust. Health, wealth and prosperity as well as knowledge and learning are all protected domains of Jupiter. So a lot to look forward to.With it we become ourselves worthy and expanded in all things spiritual.
This mental fulfilment will be further enhanced by Philosofia who arrives in time to wrap up the meaning of what has been realised by Jupiter. Our optimism is well deserved but now it gets further qualified. We will be questioning and debating in order to make sense of daily routines and the unexpected. Words and thoughts will be paramount in the course of processing all the months’ occurrences. As things materialise we are called to honour the beauty around us and the earthly pleasures. We are becoming more busy, perhaps occasionally distracted or overly keen, and interested in a variety of things with excitement and curiosity.
By the month’s end we find ourselves becoming more refined, with an air of frivolity, more gentle, but also cheerfully more willing to help and take positive action that supports others, and that it is in the service of noble causes.

This week we will look at the Ten of Swords from the Motherpeace Tarot. This card shows us ten priestesses leaping off a cliff and into the sea. The temple at the edge of the cliff may be that of the Goddess Athena, who shaped her own identity by following her own path, taking risks and doing the unexpected. With their arms raised, the priestesses appear to leap of joy rather than with fear. The swords point in the opposite direction, they have been released by the priestesses and are no longer part of their mission. Beneath the temple, a wave is crashing into the wall, and the water is waiting to receive the priestesses.
The card represents the final letting go of an idea which the ego has been attached to, this can mean a dramatic end to a repeated cycle, and the realisation that the acceptance of what is, and not what you hoped for, is in fact a blessing. This allows you to get on with your bigger purpose in world. Simultaneously a sacrifice and a relief, the struggle has now ended. Letting go and diving deep into the waters initiates a new experience of emotional sensitivity. The number ten marks a transition into something new, the completion has now occurred, and is often associated with community.
Receiving this card is a confirmation that you are stepping into a new phase in your life. It might be a spiritual, mental or physical phase, or a combination of all of these. The priestesses of Athena will support you in all you wish to do. Your hardship and the repeated cycle of worry has come to an end. You are free to pursue your path and you will receive the help of the world in doing so.

Focus on the image of the Ten of Swords and observe how the priestesses are leaping off the cliff, they are confident and joyful. They know that they will be safe and that their descent into the ocean will cleanse them and bring renewed inspiration to carry on. Letting go of the swords has released a burden which they have been carrying for too long. The image is one of transformation, hope and finding your joy.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
How can you best release the heaviness that has weighed you down?
Write down your soul’s true mission and not your ego’s.
Involve yourself in a ceremony of your own choice. It can be a solitary ritual or a group event. Verbalise your intentions and embody the ideas you have considered. The airwaves of the recent Libra full moon will carry your spoken mission into the near future.

April is slow to arrive. Dragging her feet and still pulling a winter veil over us, nothing is exactly clear or defined. Between dream, creativity and self-realisation, we’re unsure how to act. When we act, we change our minds or leave things half done as if moving through a cloud in a dream state. And yet April is here. At first shy and reluctant, but real nonetheless. April and spring are heralded by Euterpe, muse of delight in art and particularly sound. Inhabiting Olympus and closely associated with Apollo, Euterpe brings healing and knowledge by unearthing what is hidden. Through oracles and earthly substances, fantasy will turn to actualisation. Euterpe (and with her, ourselves) will arrive with a sense of completion and of letting go. Releasing what doesn’t serve a higher good, and allowing for the better and learned things. She brings with her the double-flute, the breath of life.
At some point by the middle of the month the energies of the new and vibrant season will be felt quite powerfully while gathering momentum. Projects will come alive. Relationships will develop. Our self-worth will increase. The pace will accelerate. The octaves will go higher. With lyric, poetry and music comes inspiration, and a new beginning full of determination is here. A confident, sure of itself future, and one filled with pleasure, is starting to materialise. The wheel is turning and things begin to take form.
The Cronus no less, right next to Euterpe, confirms it. They work together and it’s all change. But the kind of change that is bigger than us. The kind of change which requires us to surrender on some level. Certainly, on a subconscious level, surrender our fears and traumas and assign them to the past. On a practical level, we can now do things differently, as we let go of our conditioning and tap into a more authentic way of being in the world. Change of movement, change of material structures, change of habits and rituals. Let’s not forget we are talking about Cronus; a Titan who fathered gods and giants with great reach and massive powers. Euterpe was his daughter and of course a Goddess in her own right. We are now going under this influence of delight and shifting energies.
By the end of the month we become the king as we have cleared space for what we really want and what we are about. Perhaps Justice hasn’t arrived yet, neither have any of the higher values been actualised, or become integrated, but we are stepping into our own power with certainty
and purpose. The magic of the breath of the double flute will launch a transformative season into growth and possibility. As things develop we are more in control. Everything around us is gradually, or even at times, suddenly clearer. However it happens it’s inherent in the process and we
are starting to see solid gains. We are starting to make an impact and feel our responsibility in the world. The veil has shifted, so we can move from power to empowerment.

The new moon in Aries calls us to contemplate the Shaman of Wands from the Motherpeace Tarot. This card show us a bearded man, wearing a patterned loincloth. He holds a staff which rests on the waning crescent of the Moon Goddess, symbolising matrilineal descent. His right hand is open, a gesture of invitation, gift giving and healing energy. Behind the man we see the falcon of the sun God Horus, crowned with his authoritative solar disc, symbolising strength and clarity. The falcon’s talons hold the ankh of life force, the sign of the Goddess Isis. To the left of the man, the throne of Pharaoh is situated, indicating the presence of kingly power. The round basket and the large protea flower signify the Shaman’s appreciation of the female.
The card represents positive male power and fatherhood, a philosopher or teacher. This is a strong man with verbal skills and a warm presence. He is ruled by Mars and Jupiter, representing force and healing power. With Mars in Gemini until 15 May, ideas may overflow, and we can use the Shaman’s potent fire to choose what to focus on. He also reminds us that with Jupiter in Sagittarius until 2 December 2019, we shall expand in areas which light us up, like the fire of the Shaman’s wand we can follow our dreams. The inspiration which rises as Jupiter activates ideas and possibilities is strengthened now.
Receiving this card is a confirmation that long term goals are possible and should be focused on. Anything that fills you with passion, and any accomplishments you are now ready for, are arriving with the help and support of the Shaman of Wands.

Mercurio XXXXII (42)and Rhetorica XXIII (23) jump out of the pack before we even begin our journey into the Mantegna reading. The two Gods appear so as to remind us the domination of words and communication that are the overarching influence under which events, feelings and thinking are taking place right now. They guide the present. Mercurio in this configuraton is in perpetual movement surrounded by symbols of his power and he is the paramount healer, while Rhetorica holding a sword and looking straight at us is the warrior of truth and authenticity par excel-lance. Do not try to deceive – though we will be confused and muddled by occurrences and feelings. And what we think we want will change. But do not attempt to misguide – it will be to the detriment of those who do.

In March the power is in sacrifice and stability. But faith and desire will play their part too, and, ultimately, being in the presence of others is where our own authenticity and what we truly value will come about. Our dreams and their realization will require us a surrender to the greater forces around us and a belief that things will come through for us. The way to achieve it and how to participate in things working out, is to take practical steps. Being in the moment and being praxis, not in analysis is the advice that comes from Mantegna. And the Imperator is in support with us. The Imperator IX (9) just like Saturn in Capricorn is restrictive. He is also a heavy and serious energy with cosmic spread. As a reward, for our discipline, however, he offers us security and makes things happen. So that ideas become reality, and the ideal becomes physical. Our inspiration and creative expression are transformed into a lived experience.
And here comes Apollo to offer further oracles and truths, and magnificent dreams. Apollo is one of the most complex Gods of the ancient Greco-Roman Pantheon. His healing influence elevates us from our everyday troubles and mundane chores and ordinary existence. He is here to makes us all extraordinary, to show how we have the creative self expression within us and that we are complete. From creative self expression comes beauty as light and as un uplifting experience. So that throughout March we will have the power struggle between the heavy and slow energy of the Iperator transforming the quick, fast moving, creative, dreamy, mystical energy of the beauty of Apollo and giving it form.
The energies come together through Terpsicore, daughter of Mnemosyne. A Muse of chorus and dance she represents delight in togetherness. A reminder of our earthly powers as we find happiness in the company of others and through others. Our higher self and earthly reincarnation merge in art and love, in a collective effort and as part of a greater story. We are here and we are not alone.

The Death card from the Motherpeace Tarot brings us a striking image of recovery after the Leo full moon eclipse, which may have shaken our perception and distorted our personal vision. A skeleton lies on the ground by two birches, surrounded by autumnal yellow leaves. The clean bones are exposed to the forces of nature, reminding us of our own sensitivity to external powers which we feel we may not be able control. A snake has shed its yellow and red skin, symbolising transformation and rebirth.
The black space of the card, the infinite void, points to the possibilities of total renewal. Like a Shamanic journey to the underworld, the knowledge of something greater is being revealed. You can fill this empty space with anything you wish and more. Be ready to transform and welcome the unbelievable. After the realisation that the Death card offers us full release of the burdens we perceive as obstacles, we can welcome the imagery as a quiet solace of healing.
Becoming whole again after a difficult time requires self-awareness to forgive everything and everyone. The bones of our ancestors may have called to us momentarily during the eclipse season. Now we are ready to embrace their messages as we are starting to move slowly towards the lighter season. The imagery of the card shows us how to return to our roots, the passions we once lived for, and reminds us of the potential to resurrect these.
Meditation with the Death card
Try this meditation with the Death card and take a note of what the card wants to tell you.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Focus on the image of the Death card and observe how the peaceful image of the skeleton is lying on the ground. The black colour brings the perfect ground for transformation. The shedded snake skin was suffocating and poisonous. Now it is gone. You can step out and breathe the fresh air of transformation and renewal at both soul and bodily levels. The mind is at ease after it has conquered its troubling thoughts.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
How can you honour your deepest transformation after a very difficult time?
What kind of physical movement can you engage in to become grounded in your body?
Build an altar to your deepest dream life. Include photos and objects which represent the energy of total bliss. This physical imagery will help to manifest your wishes. Say thank you to everything that is and receive.

The season of Virgo saw personal planets congregating there. We all felt the change of weather. But we are still in summer in the north – winter in the south. Virgo is a time full of manifestation and preparation. It is putting all the elements in line, caring for others and taking care of the self, perhaps with a sense of duty, finding pleasure in the everyday, with a paramount focus in practice and repetition. A bit of anxiety and worry about what’s to follow and the frustration that we’re stuck in events (for better or for worse) will also be a feature. Don’t let it get in your way. Soon the bigger picture will also start to unfold!

Summer is wrapping up as August is coming to a close. Leo season has kept the energy of high summer with intensity and gave us drama, extremes of passions and bursts of luxury. We also felt dignity in hardship and pride in any unexpected challenges. We’ve come out the other side better than we went in. We’ve come out with more creative ideas, more self-awareness and more confidence. Now we need to summon our strength and our abilities a calmness inside and out permeates.
A mass of planets are moving into Virgo. By the beginning of September all quick moving planets would have located there. And on Saturday 31st, both luminaries, the Sun and Moon, will give extra power to all things Virgo. An analytical approach, a sense of organisation and order, as well as service and everyday pleasures in clearing out old stock will replace our desire for entertainment and games. Self-realisation looks different as we prepare ourselves for the change of season. A melancholy peplos will cover our moods. We’re becoming practical and mastery. The Sun is still high in the sky. So let’s go outside and let’s get to work.
Flavia

In between the summer and autumn, we feel the transformation beginning, using our shamanic sight we may observe the vibrancy of the season’s change. We are at the throws of a new moon in Cancer, water element, and a full moon in Capricorn, earth element. So the power of the two elements merging and creating something more complex than the original is especially potent at the moment. In many ways they compete and destroy. An intensity that we feel in the air, we can taste and touch. It signals the fullness of life. Water and earth make everything grow. Luscious plants, solid trees, cosy mushrooms creating colonies. Let’s not forget the power of togetherness. Water and earth will nurture and build. Everything is expanding and multiplying.

We start the year under the influence and the protection of Goddess Diana. After a challenging ending to 2018, we surely need her. Beautiful, dynamic and fit, she is also skilful and able in using tools. With an arrow and bow, wearing a moon crown and a deer by her side, she’s the goddess of high and physical achievements. She represents hunting, the outdoors, earthly grounding and time. The high priest in her Roman temple was once a slave and as such she’s the guardian of all humanity, not just the privileged section of society. Associated with darkness and ruling together with her brother Apollo, she’s also aloof and mysterious. Her three faces represent wisdom and healing as the goddess of the moon, protector of childbirth, and hunting. To her left and right in our reading, we have two very powerful eights: the eight of Eagles (Swords) and the eight of Turtledoves (Clubs).
Because of the configuration of the cards we are guided to read this arrangement as a whole that is complete in itself, rather than in a chronological order of events. The symbolism of infinity in the number eight refers here to our self value and everything that is associated with our self-appreciation and authority in the world. Career, business, self-expression and a balance of self-realisation, achievements and goals are the areas influenced by this card configuration.
And Diana in this conjunction of powerful eights of air and fire is urging us to go out and after the things we value in life. It is the right time to do so. She significantly represents the moon and time. The fact that we are in deep winter in the north hemisphere is not without meaning. It is the elements of the season and our sense of belonging in the environment and everything that surrounds us that are the key to our own happiness. It is cold and everything is slowing down, seemingly closing in.
What does it all mean in practice? At the start of the year we are possibly finding ourselves in a situation where we are feeling demotivated, restricted, stagnated, even trapped by our own thoughts, and where there’s a lot of negative self talk. Diana reminds us that this is not serving us. Our conditioning and past hurts are no guiding principle for being who we really are and achieving our best. We finally want things to change. We want to step into our own authority, and we should not be afraid to take action in that direction.
The eight of Eagles represents a positive situation of movement and travel, and now we are entering a time when everything is moving fast and results will arrive quickly. Keep up with what’s going on around you, because we are going to be very busy focusing on goals and achievements. We will experience abundance with a change of perception and together with others. And through engaging with others, connecting with different cultures, we can leap forward to a better and more realised future. Don’t lose the focus. Don’t get distracted. Get moving. But stay on the ground and aim high.

The Fool in the Motherpeace Tarot shows us a child who is walking on her hands, immersed in sacred play and unaware of the potential dangers around her. She is connected to the gift of life and the spontaneity, sense of adventure and innocence of being a child. She balances a bag with her left toe, this is the Fool’s bag which contains all the Tarot cards. Opening the bag, we remember past lives and our soul’s journey. The peacock feather on the wand symbolises ancient intelligence urging a person towards truth. Thus, the card represents reincarnation, wisdom and timeless existence imbued with joy and innocence, and not regret or remorse.
Along the river bed are symbolic animals and flowers which delineate the Fool’s journey. The Griffon-Vulture of the Egyptian Goddess Maat symbolises justice. The crocodile represents danger but at the same time poses no threat as the Fool is psychically connected to it via primordial consciousness. The cat as the witches familiar is a friend and a psychic companion of the Fool.
The magic mushrooms, amanita muscarita, represent the divinatory vision of prophecy – however these are poisonous if not used with care. The lotus flower symbolises the crown chakra and our connection to the universal spirit. The Fool child is open to cosmic messages and the channeling of information from the higher realm.
In the background the card shows us pink mountains of love which are capped with the white snow of purity, this melting into the river of life, the streaming flow of thoughts. The rising sun represents the freshness of spring. New beginnings are highly supported.
The upcoming new moon and partial solar eclipse on 5 January will de-fool us and show us a way which we have thought was impossible. A new year and a new path urges us to accept revelations and leave the uncertainty of the past behind us as we march forward, into the future. By opening up to the cosmic messages we can finally realise that our path is valid in this realm.
Meditation with the Fool
Try this meditation with the Fool and observe what the card wants to tell you.
Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Focus on the image of the Fool and note how the agile child is full of life and excited for her upcoming journey. The presence of the magic mushrooms stir up imaginative aspects of our psyche which are fuelling new ideas. The blue flowing river is guiding you to move on, in the perfect direction, aligned with your heart. The cat awakens your curiosity, the crocodile stabilises your third eye and the Griffon-Vulture refines the answers aligned with your own truth.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions.
How can you restart your soul’s journey?
What fills you with peace?
Take time this week and journal about your wishes for the new year. Believe that anything is possible, no matter what the external circumstances try to show you. Listen to your inner adventurer and know there is always another way to find the balance and the purpose in your soul’s journey.

In midwinter, the branches show us love. Intertwined and following each others shapes, how can we know when it is real?
Mirasol

We have arrived at the last month of the year 2018, and the Visconti cards are giving us a lesson to contemplate and wrap up the year before we move on. It’s a melee of cards that represent transition; starting a new journey and the end of a cycle. Significantly, and for the first time, in our readings there’s a lack of humans as portrayed in the characters of the deck. Instead we have symbols and designs, shapes and colours, that are our own meditative world. To indicate and inspire an inner reality. Detached from people and events we are going to be asking deep questions about where we are headed for and how we can connect with our truth unequivocally and undeniably.
In a back and forth situation our enquiries have been answered throughout the year. With the Three of Wands we certainly start from a position of strength firmly grounded. We are confident of success, we have been here before, we know what we want. But there’s a pause. Thinking ahead, it is all about communication and movement. It relates to resources and accessing resources, as we stand at a vantage point, before making our next move. Creativity, travel, new projects and adventures are imbued with positive energy and become clearly defined. A better direction is open and available.
An abundance of opportunity and material success is there for the taking. The material world – possessions and money – is all around us. The Nine of Pentacles represents the rewards of life; hard work and leisure, mind and emotions, a practical, disciplined and contented mind. Through our own activities we have a lot to be grateful for that has come into fruition. However, as we find ourselves in a place of material luxuries, and while we have entered the slow season, we need to ask if what we have achieved in the practical world matches our inner world, our ethics, our beliefs, our dreams. And therefore the Nine of Pentacles mostly becomes an invitation to live in truth and realise that other things matter than working for money. A strong sense of self must be balanced with a spiritual life that includes the pursuit of learning, literature, beauty, poetry, art, cooking, travel or any form of creative expression.
And no doubt the gravest and more profound lesson comes together in the Nine of Wands. The many wands of the card create a conflicting and very complex situation of both protection and restriction. Because of the positive and challenging aspect, this is a difficult card to read. The fact that it dramatically denotes completion, closure, endings makes it particularly gloomy. An enclosed environment that is there to protect from harm may have turned into a self created jail. A prison of our own making due to past hurt and trauma. But strength is invulnerability. Therefore we should see this as a card that supports us to keep going with open minds and no regrets. Shedding prejudices and bad thoughts that poison our everyday lives. Having to overcome adversity, situations, relationships and events that have wounded us, we should remind ourselves of how strong we really are emotionally, physically, intellectually, and to let go of anything that holds us back as the cycle closes. The past is not the future. Accept change and a brighter beginning is here.

With the upcoming full moon in Gemini, this week we will look at the Lovers from the Motherpeace Tarot. In this card, a bright pink light lays the foundation on which two black Greek vases with golden imagery are placed. There are two brick walls which lead to an opening decorated with a garden trestle and a bower of roses. The Lovers themselves are shown as geometric shapes which unite in a trapezoid pattern of colours, overlaid by the black and white colours of the feminine and masculine, echoing the energies of yin and yang. A beautiful sunset creates a green and blue sky, with orange streaks bringing a sense of peace and joy. The sun is placed just above the garden trestle, resting her full body here, and bringing a sense of relief.
The card represents the deep love of two persons who know they are meant for each other. It is the falling in love of the mind, body and soul. The card shows us the ultimate feeling of satisfaction of kindred spirits, a meeting where karmic bonds have been worked through and the love flows easily. This is an important card which appears when a person is ready to receive love from the ultimate fountain of passion and joy.
Synchronised with the full moon in Gemini, the message from the Lovers urges us to look deeper within ourselves, to dive in and through the space where we can safely reveal those desires of love which we never thought we deserved. This is a safe time to nurture the passionate dreams of meeting the person who you feel completely at ease with. You can enjoy a fruitful relationship which is both intellectual and physical, embodying all the aspects of love which you thought were lost to you.

Finally, new moon in Scorpio is here. Not only that, but Sun too, is in Scorpio. It’s big transformation time for all. Everyone will be affected in one area of life or even more. For some Scorpios, or those with planets in Scorpio and the 8th House, dramatic changes are afoot. Let’s prepare ourselves for a slow and long renewal that comes from within. Scorpio is calm deep waters. Our immediate instinct is for stability and permanence. But now something is stirring and overriding that asks for exciting and interesting above and beyond. Take the road, feel the magic of creativity and let it flow in you and through you.
Believe.
Flavia

Where is the road going to take you?

Death and rebirth. Endings and beginnings. New approaches are imminent with the cosmic card. It is all change for the fundamentals of life. But what takes priority is a new way of thinking, of conceptualising, of understanding and dealing with everything around us. The opportunity to think in a new way for ourself and our passions is manifesting right now. Action on all fronts will follow but at this moment perception is what changes. And it changes so profoundly that nothing will be left untouched. It’s a renewal from within. Eventually, all its effects will be felt without.
Our visions will become bold and infused with desire and Strength as a most powerful tool. Our internal personal Strength of character to do the right thing for all will support our renewed way of thinking. And it’s thinking once more that moves buildings and shakes everything standing. In this context Strength is confidence and responsibility; it is knowledge and it is justice. Read as Fortitude or Lust, Strength is in effect a card that tells us how to control our world through trust and cooperation. We are in change in a way that we can all benefit and gain from a joyful context in which we can interact. It is not a solitary card but one of sociability and positive influence. Care and good will triumph in the end.
As the slow season approaches it is supported by stability and compassion. Our achievements are integrated. This is confirmed by Euterpe, the Muse of Lyric Poetry and a Titan goddess of memory. She will inspire and entertain us with her delightful artistry. We can take joy in our abilities, courage and accomplishments that we reached so far in manifesting our purpose. In many small ways and in big ways we need to review, and, with bold energy, appreciate the good news. With Euterpe by our side we know we can smile. Her sister Polymnia – a more sober figure – meditative and pensive as well as ethereal and luxuriant is responsible for transmitting those changes and advancements, praising far and wide our virtues, excellence and many adventures. A Muse associated with Agriculture as well as the Art of Epic Poetry, here she presides over the third Harvest marking the end of growing season as autumn rolls in. With the coming of winter and the season of rest we can be assured that our name will glow and we will shine on our past commitments and hard work. While we stand still our dramatic glorious story will travel far and wide.
Flavia

We’re here. You’re here. That’s the greatest wealth. We’re here and we can be grateful for what we’ve got and pursue our dreams further. Now they become reality with abundance as they take substance and material form. The tangible around us means we can also think about doing even better in the future. We’ve got everything we need in ourselves in order to have everything we value. Let’s be happy now. And let’s believe that we can go up a level for more.
Love and strength always.

The Shaman of Cups shows us a man standing inside a temple, his face is painted white and he is pouring alchemical liquid into a boiling cauldron. Behind him, playful dolphins, snakes and a shell adorn the wall of the sacred space.
The card is a thoughtful image of the depths of emotional knowledge which makes us human. Acknowledging our innate skills of caring for ourselves and for others, we find that we can better navigate our emotions and learn from our experiences. We can control our feelings and transmute our passion to detached awareness. The white face paint expresses the shamans readiness for spiritual work, which is enhanced by the alchemical brew in the cauldron. This interplay is supporting profound change and increasing spiritual and emotional maturity.
The message of the Shaman of Cups is poignant during this Samhain and Halloween week as the veils between the natural and the supernatual world are thinning and the ancestral spirits loom around us. Any emotional ties which still bind you to the past can be released with gratitude, which in itself will increase your receptivity to flow. Being masked helps to process and understand difficult feelings that might arise during this seasonal change. And simultaneously the mask will enable you to unfold your magical healing work into the world.

Mask yourself and journey inward.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.

The message from Saint Michael protector and warrior is unequivocal. This is the energy of love; self love and love of others. Truth will reign supreme and permeate everything we do and feel. And even if we are not taking action straight away, it will propel us to change what matters in our lived experience. Nothing is as it seems on the surface. We will be attracted to complex people and situations, visionary and brilliant. A realisation of true love. But we have to be honest with ourselves and what we love. Dramatic and profound feelings that we protect and fight for as we look for what we deserve regardless what came before. We can now work towards that goal of meaningful change in a direction of self value.

With Samhain arriving later this month, we are reminded that the veils are already thinning. The Rowan and Birch Goddesses together light our path, and their protective encouragement help us to commune with our loved ones. In the Venus retrograde phase, we are returning to a source of illumination before we move on. Stay true, stay grounded and open your soul to the messages of love.

We have Venus retrograde making us cruise towards the past. Our past loves, lovers and locations. The nights are dark. The sky lit only by the stars. And they shine bright. But the days are getting shorter as October is marching us into winter. The new moon is anticipated. It’s arriving in Libra. Star sign of partnership and commitment. No need to rush off to get the marriage licence or sign that business partnership contract. We are now revisiting old dwellings, emotional and practical ones. We are reminded, in nature we are never alone. It’s a journey we are taking looking for that perfect shore, the beautiful stone, the magical tree and others will join us!
Flavia

Thunder and lightning, judgement and truth. When Jupiter is upon us we can expect gifts and rewards. The generous outcome of work on earlier projects, the materialisation of dreams, the expansion of wealth, and even a bit of luck. We are moving from experts to authority, and everything is on grand scale. The transition to the new season has arrived with a bang. The God of truth is looking at the future and we can no longer hide or pretend. With the harvest on full mode this is the time when our efforts will reveal the fruits we can gather. And in fact we are moving ahead and beyond harvest trying to make sense of accomplishments and events. The outside world is our home. Jupiter will shed light on what needs throwing away to make space for a healthier and more productive future, as we continue gathering, assessing and reorganising.
Happiness is important too, however, as the season changes we are looking at our past with longing and nostalgia. As we move into darker days and colder nights, we reminiscence of warm days filled with the sweet smell of flowers and the sounds of birds, ducklings and baby swans. We imagine ourselves in picturesque dwellings, and fairytale scenarios. We will drift to thinking about homely environments, children and innocent love of the type that is unequivocal, reciprocal and unconditional. No doubt under the influence of Jupiter with his grandstanding, and the Six of Doves with their nostalgic idealism, we will be prone to romanticising and overdramatising, overconfidence and overindulgence is more than likely to show up. Perhaps even some laziness and delusional thinking. The cards are happy and optimistic but there lies their trap.
When life goes that way, there’s no point trying to rationalise and fake unreal emotions. Our senses and our intuition will carry us forward. After an active and intense summer there’s no need to spend too much energy. Calm beauty and holding on to a bit of mystery will go a long way now. We are starting to go inside ourselves while at the same time we connect with others and become receptive to their needs. The past is there to give us strength for the future. There’s no turning back. However, there’s only one way to go. We have come out in the world and we’re collaborating at work and committing in relationships with others. We are much more mature and sensitive to the forces around us. The Queen of Cups, or the Queen of Phoenixes as in this deck, is full of love and compassion. Her lesson? Kindness will win the day.

The Ten of Wands in the Motherpeace Tarot shows us a powerful image of seven women dancing together in a trance, releasing their kundalini energy as they move wildly to the rhythmic beat of the drum. In the foreground, three women bring positive guidance and focus for the energy which has been freed up through the dance. One woman plays the drum, keeping the rhythm of trance work and the shamanic journey with a psychic opening. The woman in the middle represents an adolescent who is speaking with oracular power, in tongues, as she is surrendering to the cosmic powers in a trusted community. The woman to the left translates her messages with a stylus onto a clay tablet, recording the sacred messages for the future.
This card represents the release of built up energies which overwhelm us, the contracts and commitments in our everyday life, our tensions, anxieties and strains, as well as our hopes and fears. Containing the energy of the number ten, the card also represents coming full circle. With the fire of the wands, the overabundance of the element is being experienced in a community where it can be utilised for the greater good.
The Ten of Wands arrives as a timely guide after the recent full moon in Aries which focused on transformation and liberation of the self. The card reminds us that there is power in numbers and any injustice towards women shall indeed be healed, with time. By speaking and recording our truthful messages to the world, they will be remembered and bring positive change.

What is the moon telling us? To flow with our emotions, to trust our third eye, to tune into our dreams and to observe the sacred. Whilst we follow the cycles of nature, our bodies gracefully know when to rest. Look within and through your subconscious library of thoughts and memories and trust that all is well. Speak to the moon when you have the chance. Her melodic reply might surprise you.

Delicious berries, forest fruit and herbs are intoxicating full of the goodness of a long summer. The colours are heavy purples and deep greens. A time for harvest. Time to gather and refocus our energies too. Think of September as the number seven. Think of the seven colours of the rainbow and how they materialise during this magical month of practical strength and emotional focus. Make the best of it.

For the Autumn Equinox, we journey with the Six of Swords from the Motherpeace Tarot. This is the most spiritual card of the swords after the Ace and it shows us an image of six women, kindred spirits, floating in the air. Below them, an autumnal landscape of brown mountains with thirteen evergreen trees of the sacred Goddess grove awaits their descent. The women carry red roses of passion for healing the heart in their left hands and knives of truth in their right hands. This card tells us to gain perspective of where we are and where we have been, to keep a comfortable distance to issues which may upset us and to take care of any hurt parts of the self.
The floating women come together at a central point, and they remind us to rejoice being connected in spiritual sisterhood. The Six of Swords also reminds us to combine the intellect with the practical and to know that our minds as well as our hearts have matured. We know where we are going now. We have taken care of the wounding and we rise above it and we are ready to proceed.
The Six of Swords Meditation
Try this meditation with the Six of Swords and note what the card wants to tell you.
Sit down in a quiet space and place your hands on your knees, with the palms facing up.
Focus on the image of the Six of Swords and take a few deep breaths.
Look at the six women, and observe how they are floating in space, connected to each sister with the tip of the knife. Trusting each other not to break the unity, the roses cleanse the heart space and send a ray of love to heal any residues of grief. The brown and green landscape below reminds us to stay grounded while working to expand our ideas into the world.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below:
Note down your harvest gifts at this equinox and say thank you.
How can you join your intellect with your practical ideas and bring forth another harvest before the end of this year?
With kindred spirits, you find your gifts. Connect, love and receive.

The sun is shining bright but the air is cool. In the new moon in Virgo, health, organisation, taxonomy, service, expertise is at the forefront. We start going indoors and planning our futures. Not the grand plan but all that’s necessary for the everyday. Wellbeing is paramount. It’s still summer but we’re thinking a lot about the winter. Feelings are mixed. The simple pleasures of life still keep us happy.

Fresh out of the Virgo new moon’s earthy vibrations, this week we will journey with the Ace of Swords. In the Motherpeace Tarot, a beautiful red and purple butterfly is flying in front of a hand which is holding a sword. A meditative woman sits with her eyes closed in a yogic pose, with her hands resting on the crescent moon, the centre of her body aligned with the sword. This image represents focus, an intellectual idea which surfaces once we feel connected to our highest good and which will bring us peace. The Ace of Swords reminds us to re-build our body of light so that we can transcend stuckness and tells us to rely on our gift of inner vision and clairvoyance. The sword, held in the right hand, points upward, and affirms the positive outcome to an idea.
This card promises a new start, and arrives as a confirmation that your ideas are valid. You can now strategise and move forward. Use your intellect and remember to align your thoughts with your body as you proceed with your plan. Blessed with the gift of the sight, you can achieve all you have set out to do.
Lemon Chrysoprase brings joy and a renewed sense of optimism. It is also ideal for meditation and focusing on new ideas. It helps the mind to settle by sieving away busy thoughts and provides a clear vision of joy.
The Ace of Swords Meditation
Try this meditation with the Ace of Swords and note what the card wants to tell you.
Sit down in a quiet space and place your hands on your heart.
Focus on the image of the Ace of Swords and take a few deep breaths.
Observe how the woman is at peace, her body seems weightless as she is in deep meditation. The butterfly is flying into and out of her realm, bringing transformation and joy. The success of her idea, the sword, shines a golden light, rays extending outwards and aligning with the woman’s wisdom.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions:
What ideas are you afraid to try out?
How can you release your fear and become your own wise woman?
Stay quiet, and let the Ace of Swords light your thoughts, see yourself shine and accept your wisdom.

September arrives in a sombre mood. The Mantegna deck is back in full force with Theology, the Emperor, and the Artisan. Moreover, as the Theology card indicates larger forces take prime position. However, the stage is set for a resolution. This card is a call to be humble, accepting and to keep the faith. Have the belief that things will go according to plan. It’s a call to release and surrender. Theology as a discipline is a discussion concerning deity. It begins with the assumption that the divine exists in some form. And Theology is not a fatalistic or a pessimistic card in any way but a way of understanding experiences and concepts; interpreting real life. On the contrary, as it happens with September, we are all thinking about harvest in its real and in its symbolic meaning. An indication that we have done all the work. Mentally, we can let go of worry. Rewards are to be expected. They relate directly to our own authenticity. We enter the season of completion. It’s been a long and intense summer. Yet, it’s not over. Now collecting is starting. Throughout September things, events, people are coming to us. We have to be strong in ourselves because it’s not all going to be as we at first thought – for sure. A larger than us plan is materialising. Harvest is going to be long and busy.
Clearly this is better defined by the next card – which is in many ways a controversial one. One that is so expansive and full of contradictions and conflicting views that this short blog does not allow us to develop. But, here’s the thing: an overtly patriarchic card, The Emperor, dominates present time. It asks the question, could it be a definition of self, a situation, a male figure or an approach? Will a teacher, a friend or artist, dominate and influence our decision making process? Is this the time of the year when organising and planning takes all? Are we perhaps obsessing with alphabetising our collection of objects, and building a structure with hierarchical method of prioritising our business? This is a card that asserts authority whatever the right answer. It’s about conformity, protection and systems organised in order to retain maximum control. It’s a power card. And it’s about change. Inevitable change that will put us on a path of growth and advancement as events, themes or ideas initiated in the summer (and even much before then) materialise into concrete projects, relationships and things, financial viability and stability. Absolute confidence and demanding focus will take us straight to our goals. It’s not easy but it can be fun, though to be sure logic will prevail. We will enjoy the self confidence and assertiveness associated with the Emperor card as we forge ahead with concrete actions towards tangible results.
We already had a spiritual card, Theology, and a card of logic, The Emperor. Finally, The Artisan comes to complete the picture, contextualising through a materialistic and pragmatic approach. It is technical skills and our ability to work through these situations as they have developed and are unravelling that ultimately will bring about a resolution. Keep the faith, be logical and use your skills. One last point to make: these are all esoteric, highly personal, individualistic cards. Even if you want others to succeed, you’ll have to take care of the self first. September is building up this way. The focus is on the singular person. The winds of change are blowing. But protection and success, will come through leadership and authority. Technical skills will embed the outcome.

A full moon in Pisces tells us to stay near water and absorb the goodness. Indeed rain has been pouring relentlessly. It has brought a calm nostalgia and a sense of longing as the days are closing in. Everything is winding down to start all over again. The summer is slipping away. Let go of unfulfilled emotions. Dreams and ideas that are out of synch. Can’t hold on to water. The water will take everything that doesn’t serve us away. The water will bring the new wellness in. Clearer and stronger. A new season is upon us.

Wildflowers remind us of our heart chakra. Open and closed at the same time, perhaps guarding our soul as we encounter new challenges. Their fragility can teach us to let go of heaviness and obstacles and instead show us how to accept the beauty and lightness, which arrives when we transform our perceived path.

In the Judgement card, the rainbow colours of peace flow from the heart centre of the Egyptian ankh cross, which symbolises life force, and in the Motherpeace, the cross is also a symbol of Venus, the Goddess of love. A circle of spirit balances on the cross, which further represents earth’s four elements.
The card is an exceptional image of the moment of truth, when we have truly seen and forgiven ourselves, accepted our traits and integrated these, enabling us to access divine presence. The Judgement indicates that a shift in awareness has occurred, however, you may not be consciously aware of what has happened, but this shift alters your reality for good. You are taking responsibility for choices and making wise judgements.
The message of the Judgement is synchronised with the opening of the Lionsgate on 8/8 which brought our attention to the activation of the heart chakra and the third eye. Now is the time to forgive and ascend, and let the heart and soul connection integrate fully. This card brings an end to suffering and a beginning to spiritual resurrection. This is the card of the divine healer, the transcendent and non-attached channel, through which the forces of the universe flow. When human awareness is raised to heart level, we enter an altered state of consciousness which heals and generates extraordinary power.
The Judgement Meditation
Try this meditation with the Judgement and note what the card wants to tell you.
Sit down in a quiet space.
Focus on the image of the Judgement and take a few deep breaths.
Observe how the rainbow colours are flowing from the cross onto Mother Earth and simultaneously, the colours are flowing back into the cross. Sense how the colours flow out from the card and connect wth your heart chakra and then embrace all parts of your body, soul and mind. These coloured vibrations are making you aware of your potential through awakened attention. Accept the transformation.
Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.
After the meditation, journal about the below questions:
How could you work with the idea of ascension to be more grounded in who you truly are?
What can you do to support your community in a heart-centred way?
Rise with the new energies and let go of that heaviness, learn how to say no to things which no longer serve you. The right path has unfolded, be brave and walk on it.

Carnal desires and passions will flare up in August. Irrationality will rage. Temperaments are wild. But, no matter what, we will feel dissatisfied. In this Topsy-turvy month nothing is as it seems. Let’s start with the cards, and my personal experience of arriving at the crossroads that is this August.
My regular Muses deck disappeared. They seem to have abandoned me. So I couldn’t do a reading and frustration started to overtake me. Then I thought I’ll go along with what’s available to me. At that point The Marziano deck came to the rescue. It saved me and I love learning from it in unexpected ways. And this might be the greatest lesson we can take away with us as we look at the cards and think of August: when you experience something has been taken away from you, perhaps something else is already manifesting to take its place. Accept it. Appreciate its value. It’s there for a reason.
The Marziano/Michelino is not a standard tarot deck. It is a Rennaissance creation reinterpreting Graeco-Roman religion and Egyptian knowledge westernised for fifteenth century Italian aristocracy. So a piece of social history and early European craftsmanship. It’s roots are in a philosophical game of cards using allegory to deliver real life messages. As frivolous or as profound a divinatory process as the players themselves involved in the ritual. The deck has 16 trumps of Deities, 2 court cards, and 4 suits consisting of Doves, Turtledoves, Eagles and Phoenixes.
We shouldn’t be surprised that the Phoenix which is heavily used in Christianity as a symbol of regeneration and in other religions as a spirit animal of the Sun power and cleansing energy sprung from its’ all consuming fire first thing in our reading. The Phoenix totem brings a message of hope and renewal through letting go of things that do not serve us anymore. A breakthrough is imminent. Our present condition should not limit us. The 7 of Phoenix, is a card of growth and achievement but it is a bitter card. We have not quite got there. Or what we’ve got is not quite what we wished for. There is despondency and a sense of looking down on what we are left with. It doesn’t seem fair. Or it’s not enough.
In fact the 5 of Doves is a further confirmation of our sense of loss and disappointment. We are practically cloaked in misery at this point. Whether real or imaginary, we are not acknowledging all the positives we are surrounded with at this height of summer. The rich fruits of our labour that have started arriving. They are extraordinary and looking down on them will not be doing anyone justice. All cards this month belong to the feminine suits of Doves and Phoenixes. Even Cupid is part of the Doves series which is thought to represent the Pentacles in a traditional tarot deck. The desirous suits representing passions and emotions dominate everything.
And as such there is generosity and abundance, money, beauty, success, but with the underlying reminder that we are going to have to let go of the dead fruit. We can’t take them with us for the rest of the year. The 5 of Doves here are telling us that we are indeed having a hard time. It’s a time of transition however that should lead to a more fulfilling future. The solution to our troubles whether emotional of material has manifested though it is not visible to us yet.
Of course, how could it be otherwise if we are going to finish the month hit by Cupid’s arrows? Cupid is random, heartless, and is playing games. But he is fun when he strikes, and no one will escape him! No good trying. Even Jupiter himself couldn’t avoid being hit by his arrows. Be sure, he will bring meaning to everything we do. It could be actual love, or love of a project, new idea, new conditions, new places. It’s all good, and it’s all there for the taking.

We are in August when more is more. Everything is bigger and brighter. Forget about the eclipse. The sun’s rays shine magnificently upon us. The moon is overpowering. We are finally in the month of Blood Moon. Think of all things luxurious. Nature is luscious. With a full moon in Capricorn just gone, representing father influence, and a new moon upon us, powering in mother realm, this is the time to think of home. Liberally paraphrasing ancient Greek here. They asserted that for any distinguished person, home is where their person is. Now we adopt this thinking. As we distinguish ourselves and grow through summer months, home is where the heart is. Where we feel at home, where we are, where we excel. This is home. Let’s celebrate and enjoy home, heart and family. But don’t just go indoors yet. We’re still in growing season. There’s fruit to pick.

The Three of Wands shows us a mother and her two children in front of a wall painted with animals and a female figure holding a crescent moon. The mother carries a flaming wand, a light source of fire, and shows her children to paint with freedom and to express their creativity without fear. Placing their hands on the wall and leaving marks, the children express happiness and the wonder of creation. The card signifies communication and the joy of self-expression and that by manifesting ideas, we learn about life. By painting our own walls, not as a shield to continuously protect us, but as an expression of our dreams and desires, we can create trust and explore the world as a colourful canvas.
With the four current retrogrades in mind, Mars, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto and the fifth, Mercury starting 26 July, the Three of Wands can assist us in retrieving our creative drive and focus on that which is important. Each of the planets emphasise parts of us which need healing. Mars focusing on our drive and determination, Saturn on structure and discipline, Neptune on dreams and healing, Pluto on power and transformation and Mercury on the mind and communication. What is missing in your life and needs attention? Working with the qualities of the planets we can balance the lack, or equally the excess within us.

The Magician steps forward as our guide this week. Her gift is to masterfully balance the elements in the Tarot. She commands the fire, pours the water, expels the earth and charges the air. In her ecstatic dance she can transform substances and create new ones, by doing so, she ensures that you become fulfilled on all levels. She wears animal skin in order to identify magically with its’ essence and to embody its’ power. In her role as a mediator between two worlds, the inner spiritual heaven and the outer physical earth, she is responsible to herself and the larger organism, the world. The Magician is looking at The Sphinx, the physical merging of the animal and human forms, who holds ancestral secrets.
What can The Magician teach us? Her advice is corresponding with Jupiter turning direct Tuesday 10 July after being retrograde since 8 March. Jupiter’s gift through Scorpio magnifies the secretive layers which we desire from the depths of our souls. This synchronises with The Magician who encourages us to rejoice with Jupiter by shaking off our old skin and instead employing elemental manifestation to reset and focus on that which is truly important. Her shamanic dance conveys a message of freedom by committing to yourself and your inner vision. By withdrawing from the negativity of those who drag you down, you can speak your truth and you will be heard. Cleanse your aura and step out of your comfort zone now and be ready to shine.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions:
In what role have you stagnated?
What can you do to free yourself from your old skin?

July is turning out to be a complete and complex month of everything. We left the end of June in a rather subdued if contented mood. Rewarded for our troubles but still left the month in a veil of secrecy. There is anticipation for bigger things to come. Revelations haven’t started to unfold yet. The mood is one of modest enjoyment. When Temperance arrives she tells us to keep it this way. She’s the Goddess of self control over excess. She’s depicted in traditional iconography with two vessels pouring water from one to the other. Let us follow her. As one of the six virtues in positive psychology, together with wisdom, courage, humanity, justice and transcendence, puts us in charge. We are the masters of our own destiny. And we have to be cool and calm about it. A moderation in action, thought and feeling is called for. Temperance represents our own restrain and self discipline over rash emotions such as anger, harmful desires of overindulgence, and negative thinking of revenge. Our powers are ever stronger and they come from within. Use them wisely, prudently, and lovingly.
And here is how it can be achieved. Temperance is followed by Poetry. Poetry is what we all know as a form of literature we are more or less familiar with. We’ve probably read grand poetry at school, we had our own favourite poetry books and sang songs. Hopefully we still do. Some of us may have even written some poetry of our own. We all now need a bit more of this for our well-being. In ancient Greek the word has its roots in the term ‘making’. And indeed poetry has a long history and may predate literacy. So we can open up and think of poetry in a wider sense of creative activity of making things that can involve aesthetics, rhythm, repetition, memorization and structuring. We can manifest the best of us by engaging in doing and making. This is truly an action month of high purpose.
Now with a good measure of Temperance under our belts and our selves put in the making motion, noble causes call for our attention. We will be handling unfinished business with care. The past has not gone away. Unexpected events and sudden changes will remind us that we must defend our values and others that are vulnerable and need our help. We will run to their aid with a sense of urgency. Energy will be amplified by the months end. Emotions will run high throughout the month and action will be in the making and in manifesting. We will all find ourselves in a cliffhanger before August arrives. Love, money, materialising ideas are in the making but not ripe yet. The change however from one to the other will be sudden and staggering. The Knight, whether on foot or on horse, arrives full of energy and ready for action.
P.S. Remember that July is a complex month. To survive it and triumph at the end, we need Temperance (self-discipline) and Poetry (making) throughout. The Knight although not important in himself, (he’s a servant, he’s here to help us) he will bring with him the energy and support we need. Ask for help and you will get it. Keep cool, take it easy, and keep making, to prepare for a more dramatic August around the corner.

After a long sleepy winter and a slow spring, we’re all happy to see some action. Spring came late but with a bang. It brought surprises, new people, new endeavours, new landscapes and we came out in the open to greet the world. That took a lot out of us and we all feel a combination of head spinning from all the sunshine and action, and the boosting and recovery from a heavy winter.
It is the full moon in June. Friends and family are on our mind and our own survival, in the physical sense, as we reach the mid point of the year. However, we should not waste time worrying. Take a deep breath and exhale the heavy winter’s concerns. This is not the to-worry card, not on any account. And we should certainly not be tempted to spend energy on counterproductive and misdirected health related fears. Anxiety and worry are not our friends. They will work against us on work and personal relationships. And against our health and happiness.
It is the time to be confident for positive results. But we could try exercises that help release fear and bring relaxation like massage, meditation, listening to music. We can support ourselves and those around us by engaging in creative activities such as writing, painting, going outdoors, enjoy the country and adopt an attitude by which we trust others and ask for help. Let go of worry. Release fear. Allow others to help and become more helpful in the process.

Our guide for this week is the Seven of Cups from the beautiful, feminine and insightful Motherpeace Tarot created by Karen Vogel and Vicki Noble. The Motherpeace is a deck which is anthropologically evocative and inviting when investigating themes of transformation, discovery and self-healing.
The Seven of Cups shows us a woman holding a net, upon her head sits a large cup from which water flows into the other six cups. The card brings a message of imagination, dreaminess, watery visions, fantasy and an abundance of choices. The dove, representing Aphrodite’s bird, activates oracular power to enable us to choose that one special wish of many.
This dreamy and watery energy is synchronised with the Summer Solstice and the Cancer season arriving 21 June. Experiencing the longest day with heightened solar energy and Cancerian water infuses a celebration of the fiery masculine and watery feminine aspects of ourselves. The directional south in the Medicine Wheel is the place of fire and action, whereas some Native American groups invoke water in this direction, which would resonate with the water element of the Cancer.
Take extra care of yourself during this time. When we enter the emotional and watery Cancer, deep self-healing becomes more evident and also more accessible. Her nourishing gifts connect us to our hidden emotions and invites us to nurture community and self, often in a reciprocal relationship.
In Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the fairy dust awoke the innermost dreams of love for the characters, which resonates with the dreamy aspects of the Seven of Cups. Remember that the card suggests to choose our wishes wisely, some of them might not be the ones we truly want when accessing our heart space. When a choice is made, we can energise our dream during the Summer Solstice, and by finding the balance within us during the longest day and shortest night, the wish is activated with the potency of both fire and water.
Solstice Reflection
Take a few minutes and gaze on the Seven of Cups and find stillness inside yourself.
Observe how the water is poured into the cups and how the flow of the liquid brings movement of many ideas.
Take a deep breath and relax.
Sit in silence for a few minutes.
Then consider the below questions:
What is your most heartfelt wish at the moment?
What can you do to nurture this wish?
Journal your answers with words or/and imagery in your notebook.
Say thank you and know it will be so.

June is speeding through with all the power that went into spring during the new moon in Aries on 16 April. The need for rest of early April was swapped for the desire to succeed as the month moved on. By now in mid June we are all spinning out of control balancing the additional plates that joined us in May and the others sitting quietly in the back burner since January. But there’s no time to stop. Nor do we want to drop any of them. Plans and past projects, people and situations are developing urgency at an even faster pace. And it’s not high summer yet.
So the energies are moving fast. But what does it all mean for us? How are we placed in these happenings? And what is the best way to deal with it, and make the most of our selves and our situation?
So the answer to our many questions came quick and unequivocal with the presence of Terpsicore. Don’t ask any questions. Just join in. This is our immediate environment.
Terpsicore is one of the nine Muses in Graeco-Roman mythology and part of the ancient Greek Pantheon. She represents happiness in dance and choral song. Therefore she reminds us about the joy in group activities and being part of others’ lives. So keep going. Don’t think about it. Enjoy it. The way to know the other is being part of the other. Moreover, we will never understand something unless we try it ourselves. This is the lesson Terpsicore is teaching. So this card is really an invitation and an encouragement to participate in everything that life has to offer and this is the time to do it.
This is how we come to the second card. It’s Venus. An acceleration of events will be inevitable. But it’s all positive. When the Roman Goddess Venus arrives we know it’s unashamedly all about earthly pleasures and material goods. Of course we’re all familiar in some way with Venus. But one aspect of Venus to think about here is that she normally is either holding a purse or she’s surrounded by water. Her association with the elements, is an association with wealth. When she appears, this is the time to make the most of all the gifts of life. Beauty, aesthetic, goodness, luxury, elegant objects, money, eroticism and some frivolity will be the order of the day throughout June. And we shouldn’t even think about resisting. Holding back is not an option while so much activity is happening all around. The best course of action would be to immerse ourselves in the productive flow of people and things. Both cards are pointing in the direction of love and family affection, and health and spiritual life. For those who want to focus on improving their physical condition, emotional health and general state of being, June is turning out to be a massive ally
By the end of June a much sombre mood is upon us with pensive Muse Polymnia. June will conclude with the urge to start taking stock of our situation. Polymnia represents dance and religious hymns, sacred poetry and agriculture. Keep in mind that the Muses’ father is ancient Greek god father of all gods Zeus (Giove in Latin) and their mother is Mnemosini. Zeus represents justice. Menemosini represents memory. And Polymnia is especially connected to memory and justice herself. She appears in Dante’s Divine Comedy in Paradise where she is blessing past achievements with her particular world music. Our work and efforts will be praised. Polymnia, just as she’s portraited in Dante’s Paradise, represents recognition. Reward for our skills is on the way and it can go high and wide. With it there is responsibility which means that this card is suggestive of events that go far into the future. Polymnia wears a loose veil or mantle wrapped around her body. Her hair is elaborately tied at the back. Things are hidden and secrets are alluded in her posture. Beyond the month’s end and in a much more serious note, we will feel the effects of this June in unexpected ways. A reminder that harvest is on the way. Mystery too. And a whole new mood will follow.
