Weekly Wisdom by Mirasol – 23 June 2019

The Priestess of Cups from the Motherpeace Tarot is our guide this week. In this card, the Priestess is depicted as a mermaid sitting on the shore. There is a tower behind her, partly clouded and situated on a steep hill. She holds a lyre in her left hand, playing beautiful music, which is heard by the whale jumping out of the ocean. The mermaid priestess does not rely on verbal communication, instead she conveys her message via the sound of the seven-stringed lyre.

Receiving this card is a reminder that now is the time to focus our thoughts within and let our feelings and desires be central to our very being. By adopting the role of the archetypal muse, the mermaid priestess inspires us to find our inner creatress. Her unconscious thoughts yield to the ocean of collective memory where new ideas will be conceived. The mermaid priestess represents the soul and the inner part of us, and she mediates between the spirit world and our daily life and between the sky and earth. Being all water, the mermaid priestess channels feelings, desires, dreams and inner visions. She also promotes the nourishment of the womb, mother-love and divine inspiration. She swims through the unconscious like a fish and at the same time she breathes and thinks like a human.

The card is synchronised with the post-Solstice watery energy of the Cancer season. We can now rest and nourish by going inward and considering with a grateful heart all that we have achieved so far this year. Trust that all is as it should be and that your intuition is receiving the profound messages for you to act on when the time is right. Your deep feminine power is rising.

Meditation with the Priestess of Cups

Do this meditation with the Priestess of Cups and tune into what the card wants to say to you.

Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.

Focus on the image of the mermaid priestess sitting on the shore. Notice how mystically serene she looks, playing the lyre, sending messages from her unconscious to be collected by those who are ready to listen. Hear her music as you gaze into the image. Smell the ocean’s waves as the whale jumps up and down, and observe as she communicates with the mermaid priestess. The healing water of the image is refreshing and nourishing your femininity, bringing you back to your core-self.

Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions.

How have your nourished your feminine receptivity lately?

How can you unite your inner dream world with your daily life?

Additional practice – connecting to your spiritual creativity with Celestite

Celestite is a beautiful translucent pale blue crystal which is calming, soft and positive. The internal structure of celestite is orthorhombic and its’ high-vibrational healing frequency radiates in all directions. The name celestite comes from the Latin caelestis, meaning “celestial” or “heavenly,” referring to the blue colour of the sky. It connects us to the angelic realm, ignites clairvoyance, dream recall, and calms anxiety and panic attacks. Celestite is a stone of creativity and promotes the skills of artists, musicians and writers. It expands our consciousness and ability to receive wisdom from the divine source and teaches us to patiently trust in the divine process. Celestite is associated with the Roman Goddess Juterna who watches over brooks, ponds, wells and springs, providing nourishment and health. It is also connected to the Archangels Michael, Gabriel, Haniel, and Seraphiel.

For the healing ceremony, lie down in a comfortable place. Place the celestite on your sacral chakra. Imagine how the beautiful pale blue colour of the celestite nourishes your sacral area. Sense how any blockages you have in receiving the very best for you is lifted away. Feel how the sky-blue colour is deepening your connection to your inner muse, the divine and angelic realm. Note any messages you receive at this point.

Take a deep breath and say thank you to celestite and its’ healing gift.

Repeat this practice as often as you wish. It will help to awaken your creativity and your receptivity to divine messages.

The Daughter of Cups from the Motherpeace Tarot comes forward to guide us this week. In the card we see a woman who sits in a pool of water, with one arm and leg raised to receive a flowing stream from above. Red rock walls surround her and there is a tree to the right. A turtle walks slowly past her, carrying a white jar with sacred water on its’ back.

The card signifies that it is time to invoke joy and playfulness into our lives. We need to pause and immerse ourselves in the beauty of our inner world. Playing in the sensual waters, the Daughter of Cups has a sense of humour, she tells us to feel good about ourselves and be receptive. The magical mineral waters flow into her crown chakra like cosmic light and then splashes all over her body, reminding us to celebrate our body but also to pay attention to heightened psychic awareness. The tree reaches out to the Daughter, representing life, while the rock walls enclose her in love. The turtle represents the ability to enter and exit our inner world. In Native American mythology the turtle carries the world on its’ back. The Hopi plant a water jar where they wish to settle, a ceremony conducted in a state of purity to ensure that water will always flow from the ground.

Receiving this card indicates that you are currently feeling a range of emotions strongly, this is a call from your inner child who wants to be noticed. It doesn’t matter whether she is sad or happy, it is the process of immersing and experiencing her emotions which is important. This will lead to self-revelation and a playful state of being, which in turn will bring transformation. The essence of the Daughter of Cups is magnetic and inclusive, she uses creative visualisations to make her desires and dreams come true. She tells us that there is an opening of the inner voice after a fearless dive into the soul.

The card resonates with the recent full moon in Scorpio. Now is the time to look deep inside yourself and admit to the big dreams. This will lead to an emerging joy of wisdom and the knowing that a deep transformation is occurring.

Try this meditation with the Daughter of Cups and tune into what the card wants to say to you.

The slow moving turtle is passing by, balancing the sacred water jar on its’ back and creating the world through a peaceful and steady pace. The red colour of the rock walls ignite movement while the green colour is soothing.

Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions.

How can you let your inner child out to play?

What dreams did you have as a child which you have not fulfilled yet?

Additional practice – transforming negative patterns with Malachite

Malachite is a striking green opaque stone with a silken surface, its’ internal structure is monoclinic, providing an energetic vibration of balance and smoothness. The name malachite comes from the Greek molochitis lithos meaning “mallow-green stone” because it resembles the leaves from the mallow plant. Egyptians associated green with death and the power of resurrection, calling the afterlife “Field of Malachite”. From antiquity to the 1800s, malachite was used as a mineral pigment in paint. As a stone of healing, malachite ignites transformation and removes emotional blockages by dissolving old belief systems which no longer serve you. Toxic energy is neutralised by malachite and it also guards against negativity. The rich green colour of malachite infuses us with the possibilities of change and supports our soul-growth through living an abundant heart-centred life.

For the healing ceremony, sit or lie down. Hold the malachite between your palms, in front of your solar plexus chakra. Imagine any negative people and situations leaving your auric field through the solar plexus. Sense how the green colour of the malachite purifies your energy channels and then strengthens your whole being, on all levels of the body, mind and soul. Take a deep breath and say thank you to malachite and its’ transformational gift.

Repeat this practice as often as you wish. It will assist in detoxifying your relationships and any situations which have become a burden and provides a space for more light to enter.

Weekly Wisdom by Mirasol – 7 May 2019

This week we will look at the Four of Disks from the Motherpeace Tarot. This card shows us a woman who is closing the door to the outside world. She has lit a fire at the centre of the room, the smoke rises to the hole in the ceiling and there are four shields hanging on the wall.

The card represents an inner sanctuary, the woman needs silence, a private, uncluttered space, where she can open and close the door at her own will. Here she finds the stillness she needs to be able to listen to her inner guidance. The four shield-disks on the wall represent, from left to right, the spiral to the centre to self, a magical flight to the heavenly realm, rhythmic balance of going in and out of a space/self, and the last one represents the integration of the four elements. The number four represents structure, therefore this card signifies that the solid foundation you desire is currently created by both internal and external forces.

Receiving this card indicates that you are building a foundation for yourself, an inner strength which is best constructed alone. This card suggests that you will need to say no to others’ needs at the moment, until you find out what you need and desire for yourself. By putting up shields, you can focus on your path and not be influenced by others who may want to tear down your structures. Your intuition will guide you to those you can trust. Meanwhile, your door stays closed while you build up the strength to reveal your grandeur.

With the recent new moon in Taurus and the retrogrades of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, the card asks you to slow down and take a deep look inside to find out how to nurture your foundation. With the Taurus steadiness and desire for a proper structure you can now do things at your own pace. There is enough time to both realise and receive the big dream. Like the woman in the card, share your dreams only with those who you allow through the door, the ones who support you with an open heart.

Meditation with the Four of Disks

Try this meditation with the Four of Disks and feel what the card wants to tell you.

Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.

Focus on the image of the woman closing the door and the fire rising to the ceiling. Notice how the four shield-disks on the wall provide a symbolic narrative for the woman’s inner sanctuary. The warm colours are nurturing and calming. There is a lovely quiet moment of finding your centre and your inner soul space.

Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions.

Is it safe to share your dreams or do you need to work on them behind closed doors for a bit longer?

What would make you feel more safe in in sharing your dreams?

Additional practice – create a bodily grounding ceremony with pyrite

Pyrite is commonly called Fool’s Gold, while its’ actual name pyrite comes from the Greek pyror, pyros, meaning “fire” since it emits sparks when pieces are struck together. Native Americans used pyrite for healing and magic, polishing it into mirrors for gazing and divination. Pyrite was used in Victorian jewellery as marcasite, creating beautiful items, popular due to their sparkle. The internal structure of pyrite is cubic and energetically this provides grounding and calls in structured abundance. Tactually, its’ heavy weight is comforting and when holding pyrite you can embody a sense of wealth, stability, positivity and sparkling protection.

For the grounding ceremony, hold the pyrite between your palms, in front of your root chakra. Stand with your bare feet on the ground for five minutes, or longer if you wish. Feel how you are earthing and growing sparkling nourishing roots into the soil. Say thank you to the universe for providing you with the grounding you need.

Repeat this practice as often as you wish or when you feel ungrounded. The nurture you give your body with repeated grounding practices will help to strengthen your internal structure, and this in turn, strengthens the materialisation of your dreams.

Weekly Wisdom by Mirasol – 20 April 2019

This week we will look at the Ten of Swords from the Motherpeace Tarot. This card shows us ten priestesses leaping off a cliff and into the sea. The temple at the edge of the cliff may be that of the Goddess Athena, who shaped her own identity by following her own path, taking risks and doing the unexpected. With their arms raised, the priestesses appear to leap of joy rather than with fear. The swords point in the opposite direction, they have been released by the priestesses and are no longer part of their mission. Beneath the temple, a wave is crashing into the wall, and the water is waiting to receive the priestesses.

The card represents the final letting go of an idea which the ego has been attached to, this can mean a dramatic end to a repeated cycle, and the realisation that the acceptance of what is, and not what you hoped for, is in fact a blessing. This allows you to get on with your bigger purpose in world. Simultaneously a sacrifice and a relief, the struggle has now ended. Letting go and diving deep into the waters initiates a new experience of emotional sensitivity. The number ten marks a transition into something new, the completion has now occurred, and is often associated with community.

Receiving this card is a confirmation that you are stepping into a new phase in your life. It might be a spiritual, mental or physical phase, or a combination of all of these. The priestesses of Athena will support you in all you wish to do. Your hardship and the repeated cycle of worry has come to an end. You are free to pursue your path and you will receive the help of the world in doing so.

They know that they will be safe and that their descent into the ocean will cleanse them and bring renewed inspiration to carry on. Letting go of the swords has released a burden which they have been carrying for too long. The image is one of transformation, hope and finding your joy.

Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions.

How can you best release the heaviness that has weighed you down?

Write down your soul’s true mission and not your ego’s.

Involve yourself in a ceremony of your own choice. It can be a solitary ritual or a group event. Verbalise your intentions and embody the ideas you have considered. The airwaves of the recent Libra full moon will carry your spoken mission into the near future.

The new moon in Aries calls us to contemplate the Shaman of Wands from the Motherpeace Tarot. This card show us a bearded man, wearing a patterned loincloth. He holds a staff which rests on the waning crescent of the Moon Goddess, symbolising matrilineal descent. His right hand is open, a gesture of invitation, gift giving and healing energy. Behind the man we see the falcon of the sun God Horus, crowned with his authoritative solar disc, symbolising strength and clarity. The falcon’s talons hold the ankh of life force, the sign of the Goddess Isis. To the left of the man, the throne of Pharaoh is situated, indicating the presence of kingly power. The round basket and the large protea flower signify the Shaman’s appreciation of the female.

The card represents positive male power and fatherhood, a philosopher or teacher. This is a strong man with verbal skills and a warm presence. He is ruled by Mars and Jupiter, representing force and healing power. With Mars in Gemini until 15 May, ideas may overflow, and we can use the Shaman’s potent fire to choose what to focus on. He also reminds us that with Jupiter in Sagittarius until 2 December 2019, we shall expand in areas which light us up, like the fire of the Shaman’s wand we can follow our dreams. The inspiration which rises as Jupiter activates ideas and possibilities is strengthened now.

Listen to your soul and hear what is most needed at this time. Spend time in your sacred space and do what truly makes you happy.

Weekly Wisdom by Mirasol – 29 January 2019

The Death card from the Motherpeace Tarot brings us a striking image of recovery after the Leo full moon eclipse, which may have shaken our perception and distorted our personal vision. A skeleton lies on the ground by two birches, surrounded by autumnal yellow leaves. The clean bones are exposed to the forces of nature, reminding us of our own sensitivity to external powers which we feel we may not be able control. A snake has shed its yellow and red skin, symbolising transformation and rebirth.

The black space of the card, the infinite void, points to the possibilities of total renewal. Like a Shamanic journey to the underworld, the knowledge of something greater is being revealed. You can fill this empty space with anything you wish and more. Be ready to transform and welcome the unbelievable. After the realisation that the Death card offers us full release of the burdens we perceive as obstacles, we can welcome the imagery as a quiet solace of healing.

Becoming whole again after a difficult time requires self-awareness to forgive everything and everyone. The bones of our ancestors may have called to us momentarily during the eclipse season. Now we are ready to embrace their messages as we are starting to move slowly towards the lighter season. The imagery of the card shows us how to return to our roots, the passions we once lived for, and reminds us of the potential to resurrect these.

Meditation with the Death card

Try this meditation with the Death card and take a note of what the card wants to tell you.

Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.

Focus on the image of the Death card and observe how the peaceful image of the skeleton is lying on the ground. The black colour brings the perfect ground for transformation. The shedded snake skin was suffocating and poisonous. Now it is gone. You can step out and breathe the fresh air of transformation and renewal at both soul and bodily levels. The mind is at ease after it has conquered its troubling thoughts.

Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions.

How can you honour your deepest transformation after a very difficult time?

What kind of physical movement can you engage in to become grounded in your body?

Build an altar to your deepest dream life. Include photos and objects which represent the energy of total bliss. This physical imagery will help to manifest your wishes. Say thank you to everything that is and receive.

tarot card the fool

The Fool in the Motherpeace Tarot shows us a child who is walking on her hands, immersed in sacred play and unaware of the potential dangers around her. She is connected to the gift of life and the spontaneity, sense of adventure and innocence of being a child. She balances a bag with her left toe, this is the Fool’s bag which contains all the Tarot cards. Opening the bag, we remember past lives and our soul’s journey. The peacock feather on the wand symbolises ancient intelligence urging a person towards truth. Thus, the card represents reincarnation, wisdom and timeless existence imbued with joy and innocence, and not regret or remorse.

Along the river bed are symbolic animals and flowers which delineate the Fool’s journey. The Griffon-Vulture of the Egyptian Goddess Maat symbolises justice. The crocodile represents danger but at the same time poses no threat as the Fool is psychically connected to it via primordial consciousness. The cat as the witches familiar is a friend and a psychic companion of the Fool.

The magic mushrooms, amanita muscarita, represent the divinatory vision of prophecy – however these are poisonous if not used with care. The lotus flower symbolises the crown chakra and our connection to the universal spirit. The Fool child is open to cosmic messages and the channeling of information from the higher realm.

In the background the card shows us pink mountains of love which are capped with the white snow of purity, this melting into the river of life, the streaming flow of thoughts. The rising sun represents the freshness of spring. New beginnings are highly supported.

The upcoming new moon and partial solar eclipse on 5 January will de-fool us and show us a way which we have thought was impossible. A new year and a new path urges us to accept revelations and leave the uncertainty of the past behind us as we march forward, into the future. By opening up to the cosmic messages we can finally realise that our path is valid in this realm.

Meditation with the Fool

Try this meditation with the Fool and observe what the card wants to tell you.

Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.

Focus on the image of the Fool and note how the agile child is full of life and excited for her upcoming journey. The presence of the magic mushrooms stir up imaginative aspects of our psyche which are fuelling new ideas. The blue flowing river is guiding you to move on, in the perfect direction, aligned with your heart. The cat awakens your curiosity, the crocodile stabilises your third eye and the Griffon-Vulture refines the answers aligned with your own truth.

Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions.

How can you restart your soul’s journey?

What fills you with peace?

Take time this week and journal about your wishes for the new year. Believe that anything is possible, no matter what the external circumstances try to show you. Listen to your inner adventurer and know there is always another way to find the balance and the purpose in your soul’s journey.

the lovers tarot card

With the upcoming full moon in Gemini, this week we will look at the Lovers from the Motherpeace Tarot. In this card, a bright pink light lays the foundation on which two black Greek vases with golden imagery are placed. There are two brick walls which lead to an opening decorated with a garden trestle and a bower of roses. The Lovers themselves are shown as geometric shapes which unite in a trapezoid pattern of colours, overlaid by the black and white colours of the feminine and masculine, echoing the energies of yin and yang. A beautiful sunset creates a green and blue sky, with orange streaks bringing a sense of peace and joy. The sun is placed just above the garden trestle, resting her full body here, and bringing a sense of relief.

The card represents the deep love of two persons who know they are meant for each other. It is the falling in love of the mind, body and soul. The card shows us the ultimate feeling of satisfaction of kindred spirits, a meeting where karmic bonds have been worked through and the love flows easily. This is an important card which appears when a person is ready to receive love from the ultimate fountain of passion and joy.

Synchronised with the full moon in Gemini, the message from the Lovers urges us to look deeper within ourselves, to dive in and through the space where we can safely reveal those desires of love which we never thought we deserved. This is a safe time to nurture the passionate dreams of meeting the person who you feel completely at ease with. You can enjoy a fruitful relationship which is both intellectual and physical, embodying all the aspects of love which you thought were lost to you.

shaman of cups tarot card

The Shaman of Cups shows us a man standing inside a temple, his face is painted white and he is pouring alchemical liquid into a boiling cauldron. Behind him, playful dolphins, snakes and a shell adorn the wall of the sacred space.

The card is a thoughtful image of the depths of emotional knowledge which makes us human. Acknowledging our innate skills of caring for ourselves and for others, we find that we can better navigate our emotions and learn from our experiences. We can control our feelings and transmute our passion to detached awareness. The white face paint expresses the shamans readiness for spiritual work, which is enhanced by the alchemical brew in the cauldron. This interplay is supporting profound change and increasing spiritual and emotional maturity.

The message of the Shaman of Cups is poignant during this Samhain and Halloween week as the veils between the natural and the supernatual world are thinning and the ancestral spirits loom around us. Any emotional ties which still bind you to the past can be released with gratitude, which in itself will increase your receptivity to flow. Being masked helps to process and understand difficult feelings that might arise during this seasonal change. And simultaneously the mask will enable you to unfold your magical healing work into the world.

The Shaman of Cups Meditation

Try this meditation with the Shaman of Cups and note what the card wants to tell you.

Sit down in a quiet space. Take a few deep breaths and relax.

Focus on the image of the Shaman of Cups. Observe how his powers as a masked shaman are heightened when he pours the magical liquid into the cauldron. Mask yourself and journey inward.

Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions:

What would you achieve if you put on your magical mask of manifestation?

What wishes would you put in your magic cauldron to retrieve in 6 months time?

Create your ancestral altar, bless your current path, and know that the right way is unfolding naturally.

ten of wands tarot card

The Ten of Wands in the Motherpeace Tarot shows us a powerful image of seven women dancing together in a trance, releasing their kundalini energy as they move wildly to the rhythmic beat of the drum.  In the foreground, three women bring positive guidance and focus for the energy which has been freed up through the dance. One woman plays the drum, keeping the rhythm of trance work and the shamanic journey with a psychic opening. The woman in the middle represents an adolescent who is speaking with oracular power, in tongues, as she is surrendering to the cosmic powers in a trusted community. The woman to the left translates her messages with a stylus onto a clay tablet, recording the sacred messages for the future.

This card represents the release of built up energies which overwhelm us, the contracts and commitments in our everyday life, our tensions, anxieties and strains, as well as our hopes and fears.  Containing the energy of the number ten, the card also represents coming full circle. With the fire of the wands, the overabundance of the element is being experienced in a community where it can be utilised for the greater good.

The Ten of Wands arrives as a timely guide after the recent full moon in Aries which focused on transformation and liberation of the self. The card reminds us that there is power in numbers and any injustice towards women shall indeed be healed, with time. By speaking and recording our truthful messages to the world, they will be remembered and bring positive change.

six of swords tarot card

For the Autumn Equinox, we journey with the Six of Swords from the Motherpeace Tarot. This is the most spiritual card of the swords after the Ace and it shows us an image of six women, kindred spirits, floating in the air.  Below them, an autumnal landscape of brown mountains with thirteen evergreen trees of the sacred Goddess grove awaits their descent.  The women carry red roses of passion for healing the heart in their left hands and knives of truth in their right hands. This card tells us to gain perspective of where we are and where we have been, to keep a comfortable distance to issues which may upset us and to take care of any hurt parts of the self.

The floating women come together at a central point, and they remind us to rejoice being connected in spiritual sisterhood. The Six of Swords also reminds us to combine the intellect with the practical and to know that our minds as well as our hearts have matured.  We know where we are going now.  We have taken care of the wounding and we rise above it and we are ready to proceed.

ace of swords

Fresh out of the Virgo new moon’s earthy vibrations, this week we will journey with the Ace of Swords.  In the Motherpeace Tarot, a beautiful red and purple butterfly is flying in front of a hand which is holding a sword.  A meditative woman sits with her eyes closed in a yogic pose, with her hands resting on the crescent moon, the centre of her body aligned with the sword. This image represents focus, an intellectual idea which surfaces once we feel connected to our highest good and which will bring us peace. The Ace of Swords reminds us to re-build our body of light so that we can transcend stuckness and tells us to rely on our gift of inner vision and clairvoyance. The sword, held in the right hand, points upward, and affirms the positive outcome to an idea.

This card promises a new start, and arrives as a confirmation that your ideas are valid. You can now strategise and move forward. Use your intellect and remember to align your thoughts with your body as you proceed  with your plan. Blessed with the gift of the sight, you can achieve all you have set out to do.

Lemon Chrysoprase brings joy and a renewed sense of optimism. It is also ideal for meditation and focusing on new ideas. It helps the mind to settle by sieving away busy thoughts and provides a clear vision of joy.

In the Judgement card, the rainbow colours of peace flow from the heart centre of the Egyptian ankh cross, which symbolises life force, and in the Motherpeace, the cross is also a symbol of Venus, the Goddess of love. A circle of spirit balances on the cross, which further represents earth’s four elements.

The card is an exceptional image of the moment of truth, when we have truly seen and forgiven ourselves, accepted our traits and integrated these, enabling us to access divine presence. The Judgement indicates that a shift in awareness has occurred, however, you may not be consciously aware of what has happened, but this shift alters your reality for good. You are taking responsibility for choices and making wise judgements.

The message of the Judgement is synchronised with the opening of the Lionsgate on 8/8 which brought our attention to the activation of the heart chakra and the third eye. Now is the time to forgive and ascend, and let the heart and soul connection integrate fully.  This card brings an end to suffering and a beginning to spiritual resurrection. This is the card of the divine healer, the transcendent and non-attached channel, through which the forces of the universe flow. When human awareness is raised to heart level, we enter an altered state of consciousness which heals and generates extraordinary power.

The Judgement Meditation

Try this meditation with the Judgement and note what the card wants to tell you.

Sit down in a quiet space.

Focus on the image of the Judgement and take a few deep breaths.

Observe how the rainbow colours are flowing from the cross onto Mother Earth and simultaneously, the colours are flowing back into the cross. Sense how the colours flow out from the card and connect wth your heart chakra and then embrace all parts of your body, soul and mind. These coloured vibrations are making you aware of your potential through awakened attention. Accept the transformation.

Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions:

How could you work with the idea of ascension to be more grounded in who you truly are?

What can you do to support your community in a heart-centred way?

Rise with the new energies and let go of that heaviness, learn how to say no to things which no longer serve you. The right path has unfolded, be brave and walk on it.

The Three of Wands shows us a mother and her two children in front of a wall painted with animals and a female figure holding a crescent moon. The mother carries a flaming wand, a light source of fire, and shows her children to paint with freedom and to express their creativity without fear. Placing their hands on the wall and leaving marks, the children express happiness and the wonder of creation. The card signifies communication and the joy of self-expression and that by manifesting ideas, we learn about life. By painting our own walls, not as a shield to continuously protect us, but as an expression of our dreams and desires, we can create trust and explore the world as a colourful canvas.

With the four current retrogrades in mind, Mars, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto and the fifth, Mercury starting 26 July, the Three of Wands can assist us in retrieving our creative drive and focus on that which is important. Each of the planets emphasise parts of us which need healing. Mars focusing on our drive and determination, Saturn on structure and discipline, Neptune on dreams and healing, Pluto on power and transformation and Mercury on the mind and communication.  What is missing in your life and needs attention? Working with the qualities of the planets we can balance the lack, or equally the excess within us.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions:

Which one of the planetary qualities within you is asking for attention?

Which one do you want to explore more?

Explore new options as you continue to heal. Do not force the progress but instead stay alert and resting at the same time. Create your own canvas as you ground your ideas for the coming months.

Weekly Wisdom by Mirasol – 9 July 2018

The Magician steps forward as our guide this week. Her gift is to masterfully balance the elements in the Tarot. She commands the fire, pours the water, expels the earth and charges the air. In her ecstatic dance she can transform substances and create new ones, by doing so, she ensures that you become fulfilled on all levels. She wears animal skin in order to identify magically with its’ essence and to embody its’ power. In her role as a mediator between two worlds, the inner spiritual heaven and the outer physical earth, she is responsible to herself and the larger organism, the world. The Magician is looking at The Sphinx, the physical merging of the animal and human forms, who holds ancestral secrets.

What can The Magician teach us? Her advice is corresponding with Jupiter turning direct Tuesday 10 July after being retrograde since 8 March. Jupiter’s gift through Scorpio magnifies the secretive layers which we desire from the depths of our souls. This synchronises with The Magician who encourages us to rejoice with Jupiter by shaking off our old skin and instead employing elemental manifestation to reset and focus on that which is truly important. Her shamanic dance conveys a message of freedom by committing to yourself and your inner vision. By withdrawing from the negativity of those who drag you down, you can speak your truth and you will be heard. Cleanse your aura and step out of your comfort zone now and be ready to shine.

The Magician’s message

Try this meditation with The Magician and listen to what she has to say to you.

Sit down in a quiet space.

Focus on the image of The Magician and take a few deep breaths.

Observe her initiation to the sacred self by commanding the elements and dancing her divine power into being through the embodiment of her animal ally.

Stay in meditation for 5 to 10 minutes.

After the meditation, journal about the below questions:

In what role have you stagnated?

What can you do to free yourself from your old skin?

Dance like The Magician and sense how you gradually shake off the the residues of any imposed past identities. Welcome Jupiter’s direct movement with a toast of abundance and don’t be afraid of the area where the Scorpio’s wisdom lights your destiny.

Weekly Wisdom by Mirasol – 20 June 2018

Our guide for this week is the Seven of Cups from the beautiful, feminine and insightful Motherpeace Tarot created by Karen Vogel and Vicki Noble.  The Motherpeace is a deck which is anthropologically evocative and inviting when investigating themes of transformation, discovery and self-healing.

The Seven of Cups shows us a woman holding a net, upon her head sits a large cup from which water flows into the other six cups. The card brings a message of imagination, dreaminess, watery visions, fantasy and an abundance of choices. The dove, representing Aphrodite’s bird, activates oracular power to enable us to choose that one special wish of many.

This dreamy and watery energy is synchronised with the Summer Solstice and the Cancer season arriving  21 June. Experiencing the longest day with heightened solar energy and Cancerian water infuses a celebration of the fiery masculine and watery feminine aspects of ourselves. The directional south in the Medicine Wheel is the place of fire and action, whereas some Native American groups invoke water in this direction, which would resonate with the water element of the Cancer.

Take extra care of yourself during this time. When we enter the emotional and watery Cancer, deep self-healing becomes more evident and also more accessible. Her nourishing gifts connect us to our hidden emotions and invites us to nurture community and self, often in a reciprocal relationship.

In Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the fairy dust awoke the innermost dreams of love for the characters, which resonates with the dreamy aspects of the Seven of Cups.  Remember that the card suggests to choose our wishes wisely, some of them might not be the ones we truly want when accessing our heart space.  When a choice is made, we can energise our dream during the Summer Solstice, and by finding the balance within us during the longest day and shortest night, the wish is activated with the potency of both fire and water.

Solstice Reflection

Take a few minutes and gaze on the Seven of Cups and find stillness inside yourself.

Observe how the water is poured into the cups and how the flow of the liquid brings movement of many ideas.

Take a deep breath and relax.

Sit in silence for a few minutes.

Then consider the below questions:

What is your most heartfelt wish at the moment?

What can you do to nurture this wish?

Journal your answers with words or/and imagery in your notebook.

Say thank you and know it will be so.
