A furious, yet, generous new moon, and the official new astrological year is marching ahead. It is the New Moon taking place in Aries, 22 degrees, at 03:30 am UK time, on 11 April. With its ruler, Mars, in Gemini, love flourishes in an inner child way. Words will be bouncing. Ideas will be flooding in. An assertive Venus in Aries will be going after what she wants. And she won’t be apologising for it. Mercury is also in Aries, making sure that the Aries message does come across. In addition, an exalted Sun in Aries, will be a life giving force at its strongest. The Aries Equinox is already behind us, and so we are firmly now on Aries ground. The best is yet to come. Restless and innocent full of optimism for the future, it is a head-on energy. The attitude is much supported by Saturn and Jupiter, both travelling through future oriented Aquarius. Even if Saturn is a bit of a tough love-master every now and then, and sometimes it completely shutters dreams and wishes, we are still enjoying a momentum behind us pushing towards goals and realisations. Jupiter will see to it that we are driven towards truth and mastery, and gaining ground.
The idyllic background often encounter with the 6 of Cups, normally transfers us to a landscape of past memory. Something from the childhood comes back. Or perhaps we are in search for it, dwelling on the simplicity of earlier experiences, and evoking feelings of friendship and sharing. It is a card full of sentiment. And yet we tend not to think of Aries in these terms. But Aries is all about action driven by passion, youth and innocence. The innocence – that sometimes is so extreme that looks like nativity – that we all have and, indeed need, when starting off something new. We can not have all the details necessary at the beginning, nor is it possible to predict how things will turn out. So the most important ingredient, really, when starting a project, or a relationship, is enthusiasm and a feeling for it. Often we think, that if we knew how tough some of our endeavours we undertake would turn out to be, we might have never got started in the first place. But having persevered and seen something through to the end, we know it was all worth it and are thankful for it. Aries is courageous and combative. It all starts with a spark.
Supported by Jupiter in Aquarius, we are going to fight for our beliefs, and we will be driven by theoretical and philosophical interests. There is simplicity in Aries and the way these ideas and philosophies apply to real life. The 6 of Cups reminds us of our immediate environment and our heritage in a small intimate way. It is not the heritage of kings and queens, of higher authority, it is of children and pets, of our closest everyday exchanges. But events will move fast. The energy of Aries is a speedy one. Under our very eyes events are developing, plans are growing, life force is manifesting. A beautiful 7 of Pentacles will ground our actions to a thriving outcome. Our work and commitment will show results. It is not the time to take our eyes off the action. We are going to have to keep going, keep doing what we can, keep nurturing, guarding, striving, being involved in the physical as well as the emotional. A strong water and earth emery together, can manifest nothing other than flowers, herbs, garden, trees, a real life paradise, even if not everything is above ground or visible to us at this stage. In fact, most likely, it isn’t. However, we must keep the inner flame and devotion to purpose going, and we will be rewarded – quickly. We will not have to wait long.
During the course of this moon transit we will become the Queen of Pentacles. A really confident and serene presence that signifies abundance in the physical realm. The Queen of Pentacles in this spread is truly luscious, flamboyant and opulent, in a way that leaves no doubt about its meaning. Our business will be successful, our love will be glorious, our status will be elevated, security and safety will be generously granted. This card – and especially in the future position – can only pertain to good things. The Queen of Pentacles is particularly auspicious regarding everything physical. As we move from Aries to Taurus, later in the month, our earlier actions will yield results that we can feel and touch. We are moving from the abstract to the material. Organised and practical we find joy in the new season that started off with such dynamism and assertiveness. Make sure you take advantage of the warrior energy of Aries. Set intentions at the New Moon and go for it. Everything must happen in present tense. Initiating Aries is not holding back.
