Change and transformation is no longer going under the radar. It is visible. And it starts with endings and burn outs. This is going to hurt. There is no way around it. But healing and breakthroughs will be the outcome. It all culminates with the full moon in Virgo. The Full Moon takes place on 24 February, 2024, at 12:30 GMT, and at 05 degrees and 22 minutes of Virgo. The atmosphere around the full moon is dramatic and melancholic. Its’ ruler is about to be debilitated and in fall, while going through a cazimi. It’s the death and rebirth of Mercury. At the same time the host is also, a few days later, going to go into a cazimi with the Sun. So Saturn is experiencing the same process of death and rebirth. Whatever is unproductive and stale will have to give way to something new and fresh to come along.
But meanwhile, we are living through the death of the old, an old and unworkable idea will have to be abandoned, something once beautiful that has lost its’ lustre will have to be dropped or be recycled, cracks will break, slow and boring ways of doing things will be given up. The full moon in Virgo will illuminate where we need to be frugal, where we should focus our efforts for healing for us to find abundance in the future. It is trined by Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus. Both Virgo and Taurus are earth signs concerned with practical and simple solutions for a better life lived in its everyday routine and manifestation. We are streamlining and cutting our losses. We are being discerning and weighing our options.
We have just gone through the meeting of Mercury, Venus and Mars with a conjunction to Pluto. We are digging deep for strength and for answers in matters of love, communication and action. Also, art, beauty, money, value, and sacrifice are themes that culminate and reach a crescendo with the full moon. They can not be ignored. It’s all getting very serious and lethal. But gods do not die. They are transformed into a new life to start a journey from the beginning again, and do what they know how to do best with fortified energy and inspiration.
For now we are looking for justice and harmony. Justice needs to be served for beauty to survive and it is our main card in the centre of the spread. Without finding justice we can not go anywhere. So we are shown the King of Pentacles in the past and the Knight of Cups guiding our future. We can not ask for a more optimistic outcome in a rather dark time. The King of Pentacles is a mature grounded person, a ruler and a leader. He dominates a territory and peoples. He has responsibility over them. He represents an earth power with the authority to administer justice, and is in a position that rules over the tangible material success. For leaders to lead, they need consent. Another indication that the wider community is very important. The groups we participate in are at the spotlight. But the King of Pentacles is not profligate, nor flamboyant. He is stable and conservative in his dealings. We are this King. We need to assess the seriousness of our situation and be mature and principled in our attitude. Our dealings according to the King of Pentacles profile, indicate that stakes are high. This is the way to be mindful in how we achieve practical and sustainable long term results. We are feeling ambitious and want to be in charge, but there are sacrifices ahead that we have to go through.
Which brings us to Justice. It’s another card of community and our role in it. And it is a card of harmony. But it represents the air element and is very cerebral. Yet another way of saying: be grounded, avoid delusional and magical thinking, do not be swathed by anger, impatience or irrational emotions. Things will not just happen. We will have to make them happen but in a prudent and controlled way. Problems will be solved by cutting and releasing, by balancing opposing views, and by implementing viable solutions able to benefit everyone. There are flowers growing by the sides, and so abundance and wealth are further indicated here. It’s not all sword and mechanical measuring. There is beauty, love, and partnership at the forefront of our goals.
And the future might be arriving quicker than we think. That’s what action oriented Knight of Cups is showing us. She wants to move on to a new territory and she’s bringing it forward with pride and determination. It’s about going after what we love in life with courage and fortitude. There’s inspiration and willingness to move forward with our intuitive plans and to go after our passions. It is, fundamentally, a card of authenticity, action and love. When all is said and done; this is where we are heading towards. We have a major arcana card at the centre calling for big life moments with mystery and large potential.
It’s about letting go of old paradigms and own our situation in order to create the change we need in our lives, so we can be abundant and successful. In one way or another, the universe is conspiring for us to behave in that way and move in that direction forwards. Ultimately, the full moon in Virgo is showing us the way to empowerment, and harmony through justice, by being responsible for our actions, our way of thinking, and our values. We are in quest of being out into the world, recovering from old wounds, taking action and sharing our gifts with others, while doing what we love. And this is the greatest lesson that the full moon in Virgo is showing us, if we are serious about healing and owning our destiny in the world.
