The card for this week is the Princess of Arrows from The Lover’s Path Tarot. In the card we see the Goddess Psyche, she is depicted flying high up in the clouds, dressed in a white floating gown, with a red band wrapped around her left arm. In her right hand, she holds an arrow with a heart, which she is pointing down towards earth. There are many coloured butterflies fluttering at the bottom of the image.
The message of the card is to aim your arrow where you really want it to go. Do not have second thoughts about your desires, the first one is valid. Go for the one thing you really want. Psyche is the beautiful Goddess of the soul, her lover is Cupid who shoots arrows of love, whom Psyche accidentally set on fire. Cupid was eventually resurrected and they were rejoined again. Psyche knows what is occurring behind the scenes and she knows how to handle any obstacles arising. Her eagerness can be impulsive, so when wishing for something, do it with honesty and integrity and not out of fear. She can clear any confusing behaviour which is hindering soul-growth. Because Psyche was so known for her beauty, she can help us to feel self-love for our physical appearance and to learn how to shine our own light.
How does the Princess of Arrows correlate with the current astrology? Today, 8 August 2022, is Lion’s Gate, the culmination of the dominating energy of the rising of the star Sirius, which began at the end of July. Further, there are several planets in retrograde motion from which we can learn how to navigate different aspects in our lives. Jupiter is retrograde in Aries, returning to Pisces 28 October., this energy will support to refine ideas, initiate and go forth with them, becoming a success with your passions. Saturn is retrograde in Aquarius, going direct 23 October, and he can help us to find our calm wisdom and not rushing ahead, helping us to navigate the Jupiter in Aries energy. Neptune is retrograde in Pisces, going direct 4 December, this is the time to fine-tune your dreams, feeling into the soul and finding out what it is that you really love and feel most comfortable with. Pluto is retrograde in Capricorn, going direct 8 October, in this energy we can feel the bigger picture of justice, and realise that we crave to be noticed for our real skill and not valued as pretenders. And finally, Chiron is retrograde in Aries, going direct 23 December. This energy is helping us to cut cords and heal those connections which feel frayed and neglected, perhaps from both sides where the receiver and giver energy is imbalanced.
Our crystal helper this week is Chrysopal, a beautiful green opal, which has a calming and soothing energy. Opal is amorphous, it has no crystalline structure, and therefore has an affinity with transformation and can help us to have a more enjoyable existence. It supports spaciousness in our consciousness to move forward. Opal has a water-like energy and it is deeply purifying. It allows us to embody deep held dreams and to bring them into existence. Opal is associated with the circle of life, and with regeneration and rebirth. It has been used a symbol of love in many cultures and in ancient Rome it was called the Cupid Stone, where it was a symbol of hope and purity. Opal can support communication with spirit guides and with beings from distant stars, and it supports and provides good fortune
Journey with Chrysopal for deep healing
For this meditation, find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. Take a few deep breaths and relax your whole body. Feel peaceful and secure as you go into the journey. Imagine yourself standing in a radiating green meadow. There is an abundance of fragrant wildflowers in many colours growing and the sweet scent makes you feel joyful. There is a narrow path in the meadow and you decide to walk along it, sometimes stopping and smelling the various flowers. Now you come to a small wooded area and there is a little stream of water running in between the trees. You decide to sit down by the stream for a bit. Everything here feels and looks very beautiful and calm.
The water is running steadily in the stream and you feel happy to have found this place. You decide to look into the stream to see if you can find any stones to bring back with you. You look for a while and it feels like you will never find anything. Then suddenly you see a bright green stone shining at the bottom of the stream. You put your hand into the stream and gently dislodge the stone from the watery ground. The stone is so shiny and green that it looks otherworldly. You hold it between your palms and close your eyes for a bit. The green colour feels strong in your hands. And you can feel the colour spreading into your heart chakra, and then going upwards to your throat chakra, your third eye and then your crown chakra, where the green energy radiates upwards. Then the green energy starts to travel down from your heart chakra to your solar plexus, to your sacral chakra, to your root chakra, the knees, the feet and then connecting to your earth star below the feet. You feel the radiating green energy everywhere in your body. It is deeply healing your chakras, removing any obstacles and blocks, and then infusing calming green light into your body, mind and soul.
You decide to stay in this healing energy to harmonise and balance all parts of yourself.
Then you feel a great white light entering your crown chakra, this is the light from the star Sirius. It cleanses your central chakra channel and radiates its cleansing white light into all your cells. The light then quickly withdraws and you sigh deeply. Make note of any messages you receive at this point.
After a while you feel the green energy disappearing and you feel you are back in the present moment. Take a deep breath and slowly open your eyes. Say thank you for the messages and the healing received.
