Full Moon Capricorn 21 July 2024 – by Flavia

Spazziamo!!! We are mopping up. We are clearing out. This is not our first rodeo. We’ve been here before. At least since about a month ago, when we had our first full moon in Capricorn. Now it’s time for the final push. It is the Full Moon taking place on 21 July 2024, at 10:16 GMT, and at 29 degrees and 08 minutes of Capricorn. It is a blue moon, the second full moon in a sequence of two full moons in Capricorn that take place in 2024.

Our purpose is to transcend limitations of hierarchy with steely determination, as a circle is coming to a decisive close definitively and indisputably. Because this is both a culmination and a conclusion. Capricorn is also the sign of the otherworldly, the mystic, the marginal. The sign of boundaries and opposition. The full moon in Capricorn will shed a light to those blocks, imaginary or physical, that separate us and bring an urgency to overcome. The World card draped in purple, the colour of supreme majesty and godliness, tells us to be open to divine wisdom. At this pivotal moment in life the World card is asking: what would we do if we had no worldly constraints? The constraints of place, money, time. What if the limits of the material world in our everyday life do not matter when we have a higher purpose? Because The World card tells the story of the end of a journey. It is after all the last card in the Major Arcana. The Major Arcana represents those aspects of life going beyond the daily, the familial, the small. So we are at an end point and a major one. We are tying up the last of the loose ends of a project or situation that has a long history behind it. So much so that we needed two full moons to come to terms with it. We are at a critical point when we need to take ownership of ourselves and of our success in order to transcend our limitations.

Up in the sky things are no different. Major planets, those that move slowly, societal planets, planets representing the collective, are coming to their end degree and preparing to change signs. Pluto is retrograding back to Capricorn before re-entering Aquarius for good this time, finishing off unfinished business and mopping up left overs. With Jupiter having just entered the masculine mercantile double bodied sign of Gemini, we are going to be extremely busy. And there is much more besides. The World connects us to everyone and everything.

When we come to the Nine of Wands however there are reasons to be cautious. We can only do what we can do. Everything else will have to be left behind, discarded, let go for ever, forgotten. Damage control will be part of the story. Despite all the cosmic forces, Saturn says: no. In other words, for the limitless and unbounded to be achieved, for real obstacles to be transcended, we are going to have to stop at some point and take stock of where we stand. Maybe, we are trying too hard. Maybe, further loses in order to fulfil desires or achieve a goal can not be justified. As planets move through Gemini and Capricorn and form conjunctions, squares and sextiles to Saturn, the ruler of the lunation, we are faced with duplicitous agents, frustration and and risk to our own security. We have to be certain, we protect ourselves from exposure to harm, deceit or underhandedness, without becoming paranoid or isolated. The theme of us in the context of others is reinforced.

But we are moving up and out. Whatever is going on in our lives right now, including disappointments and a sense of dissatisfaction, it’s in reality a gift towards our happiness. The Ace of Cups is overflown with positive emotional energy. It represents moving on, going with the flow of sensual experiences, not rejecting love and abundance, accepting what is flowing towards us and what is flowing away. And there lies the wisdom and gift of the blue moon in Capricorn.

The World card signals a positive outcome of cosmic proportions. We are either transcending or transmuting limitations.

The ace cards in the Tarot are positive and uplifting in their element. We are serious and working hard for achievement, ruthless in overcoming obstacles, practical with the need of initiation as we pursue the edge of what we know, we also have an understanding of where our limits will take us. We are conscious emotionally that by finishing off with something, we are opening space for something else. Something better, something that represents us as we are now. Every end is a new beginning. And that’s what The Ace of Cups reminds us here. To be true and follow our instinct. Our emotional compass will not deceive. As one cycle closes, another one starts. And it starts with a gift.
