This is the calm before the storm, as we have just come out of cazimis, and we are preparing for major conjunctions and a double dose of eclipses in the next few weeks. We haven’t moved away from what is troubling us. We are hanging on to persisting doing the same thing over and over again without it getting us anywhere. We find ourselves trapped no matter what we do. Our sticking to outdated ideas and approaches to life are, ultimately, disempowering. So what is going on? It is the New Moon that takes place on 10 March, 2024, at 09:00 GMT, and at 20 degrees and 16 minutes of Pisces. The last sign in the zodiac, is also the most spiritual sign of release and let go. It even rivals Scorpio’s propensity to get rid and eliminate all toxicity. Scorpio wants to purge and let go, in order to merge, but it still operates within the material domain to reach something greater than itself. But Pisces, has seen it all. Pisces is leaving the body for a transcendental freedom above and beyond. The new moon in Pisces is the beginning of completion, before we start seeing and doing things differently, before we move into a new cycle.
And it starts with the Hierophant. We have built something for ourselves, and the thing itself is now our master. Power comes from above moving down, and from out moving in, and it has history in the making. Life structures, institutions, habits and the environment dictate our condition and aspirations. Or so we have come to feel is the case. What was once a creative project, an exciting adventure, a solid structure of safety and comfort has become an overwhelming authority over us. Being part of a group or organisation feels stifling. We are just out of a fixed air Aquarius state that became too cold, or rigid, mentally. The Hierophant is the head of a government organisation, education or religious setting, even a military institution that observes strict rules of operation. We are finding that where we are at has certain boundaries and limitations, it leaves restricting options open to us. The Hierophant heads a conventional system or etiquette of which we are part of, but which is making us unhappy. The Hierophant reads dissatisfaction. Maybe that system, or construct, was okay then, but it’s not okay now. Maybe being part of that system gave us a sense of co-creation in the past. However, now that same system feels like it’s imposed on us artificially. Where once that system was a safe place within which to grow and discover positive values, it has become nothing more than manufactured norms of conduct making us feeling restless. In this state we could become overheated emotionally, and loose a sense of objectivity and balance. The Justice card in the past gave us a warning against allowing our specific personal perspective or desire to influence our conduct in the world.
This brings us to the Judgement card in the middle of our spread, which speaks of a new beginning. A breaking free from limitations. A breaking free from our old self. It is a calling to truth and a rebirth, generally after some tough lessons and difficult challenges. Indeed that became the experience under the authority of The Hierophant. Even if that same Hierophant was actually us, and our disciplining self with a certain plan of action. It signals that somehow we have come out of an oppressive space and are heading towards a new more spiritual, more mystically aligned purpose in our lives. A new self awareness and a new plan in the making. We can live again, but with more honesty and joy. You may ask, and how is it to be done exactly when the next card in line is The Hanged Man?
In fact this is the only way. We are, finally, in Pisces, the sign of compassion and redemption, the sign of isolation and mediation, sleeping and dreaming. The Hanged Man comes along when no matter how hard we try, we don’t seem to be going anywhere. We are stuck and we are feeling powerless. So the card comes along to tells us to take a pause, to accept and relinquish the power that the external conditions impose on us. Instead we have to look within to find our own light. Pisces announces the beginning of the new light of spring that follows, when the Aries season comes along. Everything is preparing us for the Aries Equinox and the new moon in Aries.
We are finding that by going inward, we can make changes to our reality as it is in the world. The perspective changes, and because of it, we have a new understanding of our situation. And this is a more enlightened understanding, that brings us peace and tranquillity. We have taken power from the external to our inner spirituality. All planets, personal and generational, in other words fast moving and slow moving, are clustered together in just four consecutive signs. Room for manoeuvre is limited and very specific. Some thing that doesn’t work out in our day to day life can be the trigger to help us re-engage with our inner realms of thoughts and beliefs. As the quality of our awareness grows we become more and more rejuvenated. When no amount of effort or action seems to make a difference, when we feel helpless in our situation, no matter what we do to alleviate that, The Hanged Man comes along to ask us to surrender to the obvious. It’s an invitation to go within and reassess our motivations, actions, thoughts, emotions and ways of perceiving our external landscape. A deeper understanding will lead to a change of perspective and will, ultimately, lead to a deep fundamental change in attitude and appreciation. It’s going to be invaluable in the future when we are going to face big conjunctions and a couple of eclipses in the next few months, with the inevitable and unpredictable events that are on the way. We will rest power from the outside circumstances through acceptance and surrendering to find mental clarity and peace of mind. Because our whole perceptive has changed, we are changed and now we are ready to confront whatever comes our way.
