Full Moon Libra 6 April 2023- by Flavia

The pen is mightier than the sword. And Lady Justice is here with her sword waiting to fight with words and logistics. It is the Queen of Swords, The Sun and Judgement that line up to give us a visual on the April full moon. Decision making will be swift. Judgement will be announced, but will not cut it. Indecision will dominate. Split alliances will be fuelled by the desire to please everyone. We have our feet in two different camps. We are at mutable crossroads and we are being pulled in different directions. Above all, we are at the point of relationships, and trying to bring negotiation as resolution into the spot light. The self and the other takes central stage. It is a one-to-one moment that becomes visible with the reflective light of the full moon. This full moon which is happening on 6 April, 2023, at 04:34 GMT, and it is taking place at 16 degrees and 07 minutes of Libra, is the last one before we reach eclipse season in four weeks time. And that will be a purging eclipse in Scorpio.

Anything that needs to be delegated, brought together or harmonised, has its’ last chance for manifestation and conclusion at this point. Next time we are at a Libra high lunation will be an eclipse. A solar eclipse in Libra is coming up in October, 2023, and a lunar eclipse in March, 2024. It means that by then, the nodes would have firmly moved into the Libra-Aries axis. The Mars-Venus relationship will dominate everything karmic and irreversibly so, and with it our own relationships with others. Contracts we have with others, written and verbal ones, will be torn apart or reconfigured in drastic ways, as we declare war on all that is perceived threatening to the self.

At this full moon we are looking to make advantageous gains through the sword – metaphorically, the word, science, logic. If there are any improvements in value we want to make in our lives and initiate a successful outcome, we better write up and sign the contracts now. Mistakes will cost a lot when judgement moment comes. And it will be a group event.

This full moon is a reminder for us to be serious about our commitments to others. The Queen of Swords is rational and calm under pressure. She is luscious in her wealth of knowledge. But she pursues victory through cutting and severing. She is a warrior Queen. A fighter. And she is unemotional. She is represented by roses that allude to her complex feminine character. Roses are a symbol of royalty and majesty. Apart from their intoxicating aroma and their complete aesthetic glory, however, they can cause pain, they prick, they cut and are tough as steel. So whatever we are engaged in, we need patience, we need to listen before making up our minds, we need to be steely in resolve, and we need not to be dragged into other people’s conflicts and dramas.

The Sun is blasting its’ light and accelerating in the sign of Aries. It stands here in the middle of the spread, very powerful and all consuming. This full moon is not just about commitment to others, moreover, it is about our commitment to others, that is making us proud about ourselves. We are shining bright ourselves in the knowledge that we have the power to excel in whatever we are doing. And events will come quickly to show us just how bright we can shine.

Ultimately, nothing focuses the mind as much as a collective project, manifesting through a group dynamic and value that is greater than us, on an individual level, but it still remains personal to us.

This full moon will be loud, and glorious, but inconclusive in outcome. What ever it is that will illuminate, however, we should not discard. The full moon in Libra is a manifesting and a culminating moment that gives context to our future struggles, outlines a framework of projects to commit to – especially joint projects – and contracts between us and others, that support our most noble and just dreams and wishes.
