We are at the health axis. Physical and mental health are in the spotlight. Welcome to the full moon in Virgo. Sun is in Pisces. And two quick, but monumental, conjunctions are illuminated by the moon light. They are Mercury conjunct Saturn in Aquarius, and Venus conjunct Jupiter in Aries. The cold winds of logic and structure meet a burning desire for love and hope. It all takes place during a waxing moon. So expect those energies to grow and culminate at the full moon. The full moon is happening on 7 March, 2023, at 12:40 GMT, and it is taking place at 16 degrees and 40 minutes of Virgo.
The 3 of Cups speaks of happiness, reunion and joy amongst friends. As the energies move from Aquarius to Pisces what remains constant is the power of the group dynamic. The communal is where the struggles and rejoicing takes place. The hue may change as a sense of exclusivity turns into a collective vibe, but the large group mentality is the driving force. Both Pisces and Virgo are concerned with the future. Both are feminine signs. Feminine Mercury and feminine Jupiter. So with the Sun in Pisces, and the moon in Virgo, all our focus – emotional and mental – is driven towards what happens next. What is in the agenda and how are we moving forward in an existential and in a practical sense?
It’s about the bigger picture and the small details, coming together in order to try and really understand our reality. Sometimes there will be confusion and there will be deceit. But Virgo wants to discern and make practical choices to secure a healthy and clean outcome. Virgo is hands on and ready to serve. Pisces will have all of that dissolve in a transcendental bliss. Everything and everyone can merge into each other’s forgiveness before we know what’s happened and, therefore, healing will be the natural outcome. The 3 of Cups certainly point to a personal success that is shared with others, in a celebration involving earthly pleasures. It is a culmination of past efforts that brings hope for the future. We have overcome barriers and obstacles. We have come through victorious. Now this is illuminated for everyone to see.
But there is a greater lesson in all of this as we reach the last full moon of the astrological year. And which, importantly, takes place in Virgo. We have reached the end of a circle, and we need to take stock. It is Justice that has come through with us. Our inner guidance system seeking our well-being must be aligned with the good for all. We are part of a greater whole. The Sun in Pisces makes sure we remember that. The moon in Virgo shows how incredibly rewarding it is to act upon it.
In addition, Saturn in the last degrees of Aquarius is getting ready to move sign. Saturn is wrapping up and finishing off business. And has just been conjunct by Mercury. The dispositor of the lunation is Mercury, so Mercury is especially important during the full moon in Virgo. Basically, we have to look to Mercury in order to understand the meaning of what we can expect during this time. Mercury is the controller of events – he is the god of communication and the god who can travel in the underworld as well as live up in the Olympus mountain with all the other gods – and he is telling us to be cold, realistic, calculating, objective, respectful of time and energy, and rather frugal, minimal, even harsh in judgement. When presented with choices, think of yes and no outcomes. Do not over elaborate answers. Do not allow time for reversals. Be direct and adopt a straight approach to dealing with problems. As Saturn finishes off business, so are we.
It’s time to move on. With the culmination of energies, and the spot light in Virgo, we also take notice of the other sign – the masculine persona – of Mercury, which is Gemini. What exactly is happening in Gemini? This is a theme in itself but a quick message is to say that we have had eight months of a Mars transit there. This is coming to an end soon. But if we were in any doubt about what that signifies, we can look at our Knight of Wands to give us the picture. Aggression and combativeness, mental and nervous tension, force and energies applied in contradicting directions. Maybe an element of youthful playfulness and naivete in our communication as well as everything else. Busy mind and busy schedules. And it’s been going on for months. Expect hasty change coming up. With the Justice card in the middle of the spread we are seeing that there will be a conclusion to events and actions. Change will accelerate. Justice will be met quickly and ferociously. Truth will out. Fairness is in the cards. Keep the belief and the spirits high for we are about to turn a big corner. Enjoy the illumination in Virgo in all its healthy and tactile glory.
