Full Moon Capricorn 13 July 2022 – by Flavia

Structures are tumbling down, people are falling, all elements are participating. In the upheaval we see water, air, fire and earth conspire to bring down everything that held solid up to now. What seemed eternal and imposingly strong over us, is in the process of collapse. Disintegration is dramatic. It is the full moon in Capricorn, and the unthinkable is taking place. It is a culmination of events that started at least six months ago. Endings that were long in the making. There is history to be told. And there is history in the background. We have reached the Super Full Moon in Capricorn, on 13 July, 2022, in 21 degrees and 20 minutes, and at 18:37 GMT.

We are at the Cancer-Capricorn axis and half of 2022 is behind us. As we reach the full moon in Capricorn we remember all the Cancerian influences on our body and our intimate environment that took off two weeks ago. Now our need for care and domesticity is opposed by our ambition for authority in the outside world. It is reaching a peak and it is accelerating. A culmination and an ending to something we started off at the new moon in Cancer two weeks ago, or the new moon in Capricorn six months ago, or even the last Pluto-Saturn conjunction (Saturn being the ruler of the lunation) in 2019. So take notice because this is a time of destiny.

But both Cancer and Capricorn are cardinal signs, therefore the momentum continues. It is the end that is an initiatory opportunity for the future. While these endings are karmic and fated, they also signal new beginnings where we can build from scratch because we are both at the basis of the wheel and at the same time at the very top. With the full moon near Pluto, expect quick highs that will trigger deep lows. The Tower card could not be more explicit in giving us a picture of our inner world, and how it can mirror events happening outside and beyond our control. These energies are primordial and overpowering. We will be moved and shaken away from our comfort in one way or another. The Tower card is not only a representation of dramatic finality and destruction, but it also leaves no space for ambiguity. Be in no doubt that with Capricorn things are serious. With the full moon conjunct Pluto, things are eruptive, coming from under our feet. Just as in the picture of The Tower, where flames are within the building, the earth is shaking underneath, the waves are bursting, and the wind is gusting, change is momentous and radical. Feelings will be extreme and circumstances unprecedented. We will have to think creatively as our old ideas become inadequate in dealing with the challenges ahead of us. Neptune is also in the mix making things foggy, uncertain and difficult to comprehend. We will not be able to take stock at this moment. We are being swept away in the accelerating force of events.

Indeed, events will move fast, but not in the way we have been envisioning or planning. That’s what the Knight of Wands tells us. Speed will overwhelm us. He is speeding up the explosive energies of the full moon to lead us to breakthroughs. The Knight of Wands can be disruptive, anger energy. As things disintegrate, maybe that’s what we need to get to our goals, remove stagnant situations that lead nowhere, and renew ourselves from the root. We are fighting for freedom. At this point, Mars is heading, slowly but steadily, for a conjunction with Uranus and the North Node. A whole other conglomeration of events will be triggered. We need to remain calm, centred and collected.

The Queen of Wands is sensational. She takes precedence over everything, and our image should keep her as our model. She’s calm, confident, vivacious and full of grounding energy in the knowledge of her authority. There is a lot of magnetic energy in all things Taurus right now. Taurus is physical, feminine, and artistic. And has Mars, Uranus and the North node placed there throughout July and beyond. That’s a lot of focus and combativeness for resources and our voice out in the world. These energies are harmonising with the full moon. That doesn’t make things easier, on the contrary, it makes them even more compulsive and persistent. Whatever bothers us, is not going away. We have to stay solid in our power and fight for our values.

We know now that The Tower was never going to last. The Tower – and whatever it might represent in our lives as false pretence – was not going to save us. There’s more upheaval to come in August, as we are going to be initiating schemes of self-empowerment with a new moon in Leo and a full moon in Aquarius conjunct Saturn, leading to hot incidents and calculating losses in the societal sphere, which will affect us all.
