Full Moon in Libra 28 March 2021 – by Flavia

We are off to the races! At the Spring Equinox, on 20 March, we have the beginning of the new astrological year. The turning point of 2021 is now, with the Sun moving into Aries. It is time for celebration. The theme is wilful justice. It’s all about self love, and harmony with the world. It’s the full super moon in Libra. The Sun is in Aries, sign of self knowledge, self determination and self awareness. The Sun is exalted and overjoyed to be finally in Mars’ home. And about a week later the Moon is in Libra, Venus’ home, where she rules over partnership, delegation, and beauty. That’s when we have the full moon. A short transit but a very powerful one. Both Libra and Aries are masculine signs of action and initiation. This full super moon, which is rumoured to be the happiest full moon of the year, is happening on the 28 March, at 18:49 GMT, and 08 degrees Libra. Venus, the ruler of this full moon, is sitting opposite in Aries. She is overseeing relationships, with the self and others, making sure that everything is filled with love and harmony. And look at the cards that come out to depict in visual images what this time is going to look like.

It certainly is a total transformation of energies from the sleepy and dreamy watery era of Pisces to the fiery and passionate energy of Aries. Rather than releasing the past, we are activating the future. The 6 of Wands and the 5 of Wands arrive in reverse order. At the centre of the spread the 5 of Wands focuses our attention to engaging in the physical world with others. It is showing confrontation and conflict. We are going to have to fight for what we want. Arguments in various forms will be triggered. In the 5 of Wands we can not see the person from the front and that perhaps means that we still wont have everything revealed to us at this moment in time, and with this full moon, regarding our situation or conditions around it. We cant see everything that is going on. There’s still an element of mystery. A veil of uncertainty and perhaps even indecision or hesitation of how to proceed. But we would want to just get on with it, even if we are faced with multiple choices and many options to take. There’s scenes packed full of people, there’s movement, and action everywhere. And colour. Lots of colours. These are busy cards, we are going to be trying to do so many things at the same time that we wont know which way to turn first. Wands represent fire. It is the element of initiation and passion, the sparkle of inspiration, a connection to intuition.

So while our instincts tell us to surround ourselves with others, to look for rewards in people activities, to participate and share experiences, our will is very strong and is our own. We are going to stand distinct and search for the balance between the self and the other. Full moons are always culminations and endings, and this is no different. We have arrived to better times. We have arrived and there’s a change of vibe. Well, we have arrived victoriously. There is confidence and pride with the 6 of Wands. We are recognised for our achievement. There’s splendour. This is a leadership card. Others will be looking to us for direction and we are going to have to work with others in order to attract what we want. In all of this we are pursuing our goals with intensity. We are awake to our surroundings in the knowledge that there is support and a forward looking momentum is building up. There’s stability and success. Perhaps we don’t have all the answers yet, but we have opportunities for solutions to work out as we proactively take charge of our situation.

Ultimately, The Star shows us that as we move forward, we are going to be filled with love and hope for something better than what we have left behind. That healing is happening in real time. It is manifest with the Spring Equinox, and revealed to us under the illumination of the full moon in Libra. We are capable of healing the past. The past is what we own for certain. It is part of us. It is our experiences and our becoming. Now we are coming our of our past, strengthened by it, purified and replenished, uplifted and exuberant, to jump into our present. We are out of Pisces vast water element, and into the Aries fire. For everything to become special and magical, we go through the portal of Libra air, motivating us to reach out to others through negotiation, kindness, and diplomacy. To get what we want, there is a greater lesson.

At the heart of the full moon revelation there is a competitive edge energising the field, and we are called to balance who we are and what we are trying to do, with the others actions and behaviour around us. Others might not be as strong, mature, capable, or as wise as we are. Or we might be one of the children playing games in the background of 5 of Wands, and we are finding out that we don’t know everything, we can’t do everything on our own, we need others, we are part of others. We can fight and argue and play games. But, in whatever shape or form it takes, this is not an alone time. And this is not a quiet time. Nothing in this spread says take it easy. We are finding solutions, with others and through others, to inaction, of feeling stuck, of having stayed in one place for too long, emotionally, physically, or mentally. It was probably necessary. For whatever reasons we needed to have that time to recalibrate our selves. But for now the spread shows success, rewards and joy. Birds are flying, fish are swimming, the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and there’s surge of energy. The water is clear and we are resurfacing. There is health and vibrancy. Something has been triggered and it is very beautiful. Our power is coming back, shown to us during this happy super full moon.
