On July 12 Mercury stationed straight and started his forward motion. At first slowly and then progressively with more and more speed. Mercury now cruising through the sign of Cancer is picking up speed and speaking words of love. Nourishment, protection and our ancestral roots are all within the Cancer domain. Trickster Mercury will inspire our words and decision making. Remember that Paris had to choose the fairest between three Goddesses – Athena, Hera and Aphrodite – to offer the Golden Apple thrown by Eris. The Goddesses wanted the Apple. Paris would get something back. Athena offered wisdom and strategy in warfare. Hera offered marital bliss and dominance over an entire continent. Aphrodite offered the love of the most beautiful woman in the world. We know how that went. Paris offered the Golden Apple to Aphrodite and with it a choice that precipitated war and poetry. A choice the entire ancient world had to live with, and a story that captures people’s imagination still today. So choose wisely! The legendary Trojan War started with the Golden Apple. There is power in love and the direction our minds go to. Mercury is in a forward motion now.
