This is a powerful month. We are powerful in July splendour. And we are starting to know it. There are reversals and conflicting messages that are not going away – rather they intensify throughout the summer. We better be prepared for that. But manifestation of fortune will be made in the material form. We are still covered in the energies of retrograde planetary movements. Venus is direct – just about – but still in shadow period. Slow, but progressively accelerating, the physical manifestations of what we value is brought forwards. Evidence will be abandoned and exuberant. Venus is still in Gemini and moving into Cancer, so manifestation will be in the logic, cerebral, quick moving news and messages realm, and then feelings of security and our familiar base area of life later in the month.

But the Ten of Coins couldn’t be clearer about how we will be affected in July, and possibly beyond looking at the next three to six months. Subterranean Pluto with his secrets is retrograding and the God of Justice, Jupiter, is in retrograde movement too. Both in ambitious Capricorn to be met with a stern Saturn during his backwards motion from Aquarius. Saturn the greater malefic joining heavy weights Pluto and Jupiter (Jupiter in his fall) will not fill us with joy. This is evident. The spread lacks a single cup card. We will have to draw that from within our centre. But the life events are real, substantial and physically noticeable. All our energies are directed towards the physical now. And that’s where we are going to see changes. The action is focused in Capricorn and, its opposite, Cancer. Beyond the areas of life that Cancer and Capricorn represent, the overall theme is opposition in every form, especially in everything time and place related; outside-inside, past-future. We will be concerned and sometimes conflicted regarding our current position in the world versus our ancestry, our origins versus self-actualisation, our place in society versus personal fulfilment, physical security versus emotional security and more.

The Ten of Coins is an auspicious card that suggests we can have it all. The material realm is abundant and we can have everything we need. Indeed we can be the King of Coins. Just in case there were any doubts, the card sitting right in the middle of the spread makes it absolutely clear. This is the month that we can come into our own power. We can be our own father figure in guiding our life towards success in the world by managing our circumstances in a confident, self-knowing way. In the stars we have Mars moving through Aries which will give a huge boost to our self empowerment. In order to be any use to others we have to sort out ourselves first. We are king.  From that premise we can build outwards to benefit others with tangible results. We will need the momentum to charge ahead with compelling force in order to break through all the heavy energies of the retrogrades. Action might require violence and aggression as Mars doesn’t like to be smothered or stifled, and in Aries he is playing on home turf. He’s assured and going all out for gains. It is the energy of the self that takes over, but it’s not necessarily a selfish energy in its manifestation. It is a pinnacle of the protector and the provider as well as the warrior and the fighter.

The Eight of Wands are weighing in to tell us that movement and change are inevitable. And optimism can be found in the darkest and most challenging situations. It’s an invitation to action that doesn’t allow for hesitation. While the physical dominates, inspiration must be found in the immediate environment. To complicate maters more, fast moving alchemical Mercury is also in retrograde. And he is doing so in Cancer, the area of our roots, our ancestry and familiar lands. Therefore it is the time of taking care of the self and of where we are now in ways that nurture our future. The message is that we can take healing forward by caring for the self in a focused action oriented way. The Eight of Wands is a card of growth and positivity that comes from a going with the flow forward movement. Do not resist the process. There is power in numbers. Our intentions matter. Once we align our resources – and they are plenty – with the cosmic forces we can pursue our plans without diluting the outcome.

The opportunity will be there in July to make headway in achieving our goals, but we need to keep our determination, fearless and concentrated minds towards our dream purpose. Even if when it arrives it doesn’t look the way we imagined it in the first place. Materiality is always in a process of creation and recreation. Now we need to determine our direction and get on with it. There is not time to loose. We will worry about the results some other time.
